99 Thieving XP[edit source]
The 99 Thieving XP awarded seems to be off by the formula released by Mod Ash. It should be 718.7 XP for both or 1078 XP for just Thieving XP. Can someone verify if 718.5 XP is the correct amount? Wonder R (talk) 15:18, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
- It's likely that someone who initially published the rates on the page was close in their findings, but not exact. I changed them according to Ash's tweet, and I can later test them in-game just to be safe. --laagone talk 15:23, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
- There is something more to the formula provided by Ash, based on my experimental findings before getting the formula it's not a complete match, but pretty darn close. But I'm really not sure where the difference comes from, could be order of operations related. Mouldy (talk) 17:24, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
- Alright, so XP does appear to be rounded down, but to the nearest tenth place. Turning in 100 tears at 83 agility/85 thieving yielded 13,770 agility XP, and 52,980 thieving XP(so the amount per tear is 137.70 + 529.80). By doing 100 tears that should also eliminate the possibility of XP going beyond the tenth's place. The only explanation I have for Ash's tweet is that he was looking at the code for the reward menu, which is displayed as integers, rounded down from the above rates.
- With this information, the correct values for 99/99 should be 196 Agility XP and 718.7 Thieving XP, or 1078 for just Thieving. So the original values were correct! I will correct the page, and try to confirm with Ash about that second reference. --Mouldy (talk) 11:14, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
