G.E. Prices[edit source]

Similar to the main RuneScape wiki, will there ever be prices listed for items in this wiki? OSRS The Matrix (talk) 03:56, February 27, 2015 (UTC)

There's no GE database for 07 so I'm not sure how it'd be possible. Mage Hybrid talk 04:03, February 27, 2015 (UTC)
As much as it is looked down upon, on could develop a bot to constantly search Brugsun Bursen and the other informats' listings.

GE Prices Project[edit source]

Heyo, now that OSbuddy has a GE tracking website/api up and running I'll be looking into getting automatically updating prices added to the wiki. Post in this talk page for anything relevant to this project!

You can fetch current GE prices through this page: (4151 is the ID for abyssal whip) - Make sure that you don't abuse the API, don't go spam-fetching from it. We don't know what kind of server it's being hosted on or how much load it will take before they decide to cut off public use :P

The next step is to get in contact with whoever runs the bot on the RS3 wiki to see if they'll make their bot do it for our site too.

OSBuddy tracks Grand Exchange prices based on the offers their customers make in the Grand Exchange. As far as I am aware, they do not track the actual GE prices, which is what we prefer to display on our pages. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkContribs 04:24, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
It's not displayed on the webpage but if you look at the API there is an "overall" value, I think that is the med GE price. Not 100% sure on that though -Shaun Dreclintalk 04:33, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
It's not. Just compared that to in game GE prices. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkContribs 04:56, April 7, 2015 (UTC)
Hmm, do you think we should wait for the official API then? I dunno, it seems like we could be waiting a looooong time for that. -Shaun Dreclintalk 16:06, April 7, 2015 (UTC)

How Are Sellers Matched With Buyers?[edit source]

I notice that sometimes, I receive more for an item when selling it than I offered it, or I might receive extra coins beyond the price I offered when buying it. What are the rules about this? Is it that if Player A offers a Dragon Longsword for 70k, and Player B offers a Dragon Longsword for 71k--if Player C tried to purchase a Dragon Longsword for 75k, what will happen? Will the sale go to Player A or Player B? Who will receive extra coins, the buyer or the seller? And in what circumstances do you receive extra coins when buying or selling items?-- 15:04, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
