Drop tables[edit source]

wtf is with the drops that dumb as fuck lmao just say the pet has a 1/6500 and list the herbs lol  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 02:29, September 21, 2017‎ (UTC).

Um...what? The drop section already does that? BGUyLfN.png CJaW7Er.png 02:34, September 21, 2017 (UTC)

Just received a marentil from herbi at 79 herblore. Where is the source for the 78 herblore cap on receiving many of these herbs? 18:53, 11 January 2020 (UTC)Neppix

I'm not so sure that the drop rates for the fossils are correct. on ~80 kc I have received 1 small fossil, 4 medium and 2 large, which seems to be well over the drop rate. When I have a larger KC I will come back and compare. 2A00:23C5:AD82:8400:65E7:6D13:4BBD:61D 13:26, 21 February 2020 (UTC)

I'll second the marrentil at 79 evidence. I'm also hesitant to endorse the Snapdragon and Torstol cutoffs, which seem 3-4 levels higher at least.Leniency (talk) 20:23, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

harralanders[edit source]

you do infact get harralanders from herbiboar  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Imasuna (talk) on 03:30, March 29, 2018‎ (UTC).

Exp[edit source]

I thought it was odd when Ash said the exp increases with 30 each lvl from 80 to 95, but ends at 2385 at 95, it should be 2400. 1950 + 29*15 is however 2385, but when I looked at videos from people with under 95 hunt, they got for example 1980 and 2220 exp, which indicates 30 exp per lvl. ArcticFire (talk) 13:46, April 5, 2018 (UTC)

That is indeed odd. It would be nice to have some clarification, or a precise formula for the experience gained. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkContribs 13:53, April 5, 2018 (UTC)

Drop Table Theory[edit source]

Based on these posts 94/95 herb 9790 KC 21.5/100 guam droprate and 99 herb 4400kc herbiboar 13.5/100 guam droprate there is a massive difference between herblore levels at herbiboar for drop quality

the 99 herb player might also indicate that there is an unknown connection from something to herb yield as the 94/95 player has a spot on 3 herb per KC ratio while the 99 player has slightly above (with the fossil ratio of 10 KC : 1 fossil being undisturbed as evidence he's not just fibbing about his KC)

The difference is 11k gp vs 8.5k gp per KC. Pirate34 (talk) 09:32, June 18, 2018 (UTC)

The droprate of herbs for each Herblore level is being calculated. Feel free to add YOUR data to the spreadsheet in the "Records tab" and sign with your character name. Please provide KC for the session along with Levels and loot. EDIT: The data from the links above has been added to the spreadsheet

Finishing up the new citation[edit source]

I've added a citation for the herb drops. However the page broke when I attempted to correct the number and add the actual quote in the reference list. Could someone finish up the new citation?

"It influences what herbs you get, though it'd be rather hard to describe exactly how, even if I had the code here with me to read."

Shrekmate (talk) 15:51, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

Already fixed it don't worry, thank you for sourcing. iN008talk 15:52, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

Some data[edit source]

I don't know whether this has some place in the article (I see some pages have experimental drop rates, but am unsure of wiki policy), but I gathered some numbers entirely at 99 herb with secateurs. There might be very very slight inaccuracy in recorded KC and guams, but the rest should be pretty much spot on. Of course, this assumes that herb quality doesn't scale on hunter level or other factors at all. Total KC: 4523, total herbs 13493

Herb Count Proportion
Guam 2569 0.190
Ranarr 1094 0.081
Irit 1008 0.074
Avantoe 1085 0.080
Kwuarm 1460 0.108
Snapdragon 951 0.070
Cadantine 1532 0.113
Lantadyme 1481 0.109
Dwarf weed 1254 0.093
Torstol 1059 0.078

Based on the above, the average number of herbs per harvest is almost exactly 3 (2.983 from my data). From this, a rough estimate for the value of a secateur harvest at 99 herblore is approximately 7,442.97. Anyways, if this is better suited to userspace, feel free to move it accordingly. Some more data[edit source]

I just did 80-99 hunter via herbiboar and gathered some data for you guys. I saw there was plenty of info at 99 but none at 98, so it might be helpful

Herb Amount
Guam 2693
Ranarr 1070
Irit 1016
Avantoe 1131
Kwarm 1446
Snapdragon 891
Cadantine 1556
Lantadyme 1464
Dwarf weed 1375
Torstol 972

herbiboar hunting locations map[edit source]

could someone (I don't trust myself to put up anything HQ) add a better herbiboar hunting locations map? it doesn't even show all of the locations lol --2A00:23C5:DD0E:C400:F17A:39F3:1A3F:67C7 15:18, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Bob's your uncle. :-) --The scribe Eek, a goblin! 16:23, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Which client did you use for this new image? I took the original picture, as well as the mappictures for all other hunter areas, from the original client, and with the same zoom-level IIRC. Would be cool if we could keep it consistent. I do agree however, that the area more south should be included. Demilancer (talk) 16:29, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
I used Doogle Maps.[sic] It has a right-click feature for taking screenshots. You're welcome to replace this map with one that has an optimal zoom-level, but I wonder if that will cover all the 5 hunting locations. esp. the one close to the house on the hill. Edit: It occurred to me I should probably just have used the Location Map template for this instead of taking a picture. I'll probably do just that. And as always, don't feel shy about changing things a far as I'm concerned. --The scribe Eek, a goblin! 16:39, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Ranarr weed herblore level range[edit source]

I just received a ranarr weed at level 34 herblore, so the lower bound of 38 given in the current text is not the correct one. DailyAnguish (talk) 18:43, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
