Talk:Monkey Madness I

This talk page is for discussing the Monkey Madness I page.

The page seems to be protected, thus I can't edit it directly. However, if someone else can, I propose the following edit:

Chapter 2, part 40, note: "You can also safespot the gorillas. Hide behind the fiery pits in the back of the temple and mage or range one of them - they will not heal themselves if they can't hit you. This is a much easier way to get gorilla bones if you are a lower level player." 18:39, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

Bloody hell shouldn't the guide mention the nigh-on insta-kill spike traps near zoocknock in the tunnel? I just died straight after getting the monkey greegree to the trap. UndeadDarmor (talk) 17:06, January 4, 2015 (UTC)

There needs to be an edit to highlight the fact that until you've watched the cutscene of Waydar and Caranock scheming, you don't get the greegree. I just skipped the cutscene by accident, laughed at the way clicking the little cross on the message skipped the entire cutscene, and teleported.

The message that "Zooknock hands you the greegree" comes before the cutscene, so it is confusing.

There ought to be some mention of the fact that if you give the monkey a banana between ardougne zoo and ape atoll, he will in turn give you a (medium) clue scroll. This was confirmed by Jagex in a youtube video entitled Runescpe Mythbusters Special 16:28, January 16, 2015 (UTC)

So, I'm doing monkey madness, and I just discovered a few things, one far better than the others.

1. You can buy another monkey talisman and give it back to the monkey child, for which he'll be very grateful.

2. If you feed the monkey in your backpack enough bananas (by using a banana on him), he spits out a clue scroll. It was a medium one that I got.

3. You can take the karamjan monkey back to karamja and set him free after you've taken him to the king by talking to him again. There's no reward for this, though.

This quests is full of faults. I have never edited a wiki, but so far I've changed 2 things. Someone please re-write this guide. 08:17, March 4, 2015 (UTC)spacenova

Literally cannot complete the puzzle on bad internet connection, was doing the puzzle for the past 40 minutes and got disconnected saying I was already logged in, yeah Jagex I know I was already connected, I was connected on the same computer. Puzzle gets reset with only 3 more puzzle moves to go. Thanks jagex, really wanted to use that dscim. Cancelled my subscription until this gets patched. 04:27, March 26, 2016 (UTC) 07:10, May 3, 2016 (UTC)

Whoever wrote to bring three prayer potions to the fight is high on coke.

Misspelling needs correcting[edit source]

There's an instance where "hangar" is spelled as "hanger." I tried to correct it and ended up getting stopped by some automatic filter. I don't care enough to create an account, but I figured I'd dump a quick note here for someone else to fix it. Cheers. 00:11, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Looks like you created a false positive with the FloorNumber template earlier on in the paragraph. I've added your edit, thanks for letting us know. --dDbvitC.png Scuzzy Beta hib8CAd.png 00:14, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Puzzle solving algorithm[edit source]

I followed this guide and it worked well: 04:41, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

Karam's location on the map[edit source]

Karam's location on the map (4) is wrong. My newbie friend ran into this problem when he was doing the quest. The textual description of where to go is correct.

Here's where Karam is located: --Irom Typo (talk) 21:45, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
