Blast Furnace XP and bar creation per hour[edit source]
Hello I am wondering what were the tested method of achieving such phenomenal xp and bar rates at blast furnace. When I have done blast furnace in the past with high focus I was reaching between 2.1k and 2.2k addy bars per hour. Can there be an explanation for achieving the high rates for all the bars because the results are all much higher than what the conventional method explains. Garzan (talk) 14:17, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- There is some discussion of this on the blast furnace talk page. The values for higher level ores were extrapolated from the rates for steel and may not be entirely accurate but are predicted to actually be higher than calculated. Some simple improvements which might help would be going to a world with lower ping, only using 1 dose stamina potions with vial smashing turned on to minimize time spent banking, spamming the space bar during bar collection before the interface pops up to get through the prompts as quickly as possible, shift clicking the coal bag to empty it, allowing the bars to sit there for one cycle before collecting them so you never have to wait for the ores to smelt into bars, and getting a higher agility level and weight reduction to maximize the amount of time you can spend between doses of stamina potions. It's also important to make sure your route between things doesn't have any extra movements. For example clicking on the bar collection and then on the bank chest is a longer route than clicking on the bank chest and rapidly grabbing the bars from the collection as you pass before clicking back on the bank to keep your character moving in that direction. A lot of time can also be saved just by getting familiar with the timings and responsiveness of things. If done perfectly the coal bag can be emptied and loaded onto the belt in the same tick with nothing appearing in your inventory and from certain positions at the bar collection it's possible to take the bars without interrupting your movement. Over the course of many cycles those time saves add up. Because you're doing so many inventories an hour just pausing to verify that everything has been emptied onto the belt can be a significant time loss. I used to think the listed rates were unrealistic but it is possible to get them or better in some cases but it's difficult and requires a lot more focus, practice, and click intensity than you probably want to put into it. The top line re: anvil smithing[edit source]
I didn't want to make an edit because I'm not positive, but I think the new anvil at Prifddinas is closer to the bank than the Varrock one (although obviously it has a high barrier to entry with the Song of the Elves quest). 184.108.40.206 13:37, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
Super Heating[edit source]
There should be a section that discusses super heating.
