Talk:Scythe of vitur
Does it use 1 charge per attack or 1 charge per hit? If i'm hitting 3 times at once does it use 3 charges per attack or not? Is this why there isn't an estimated time-in-combat rating on it like 10 hours on barrows equipment?
- "One charge is deducted per attack, and it will always lose a charge whether or not it hits." This means that, if your attack hits three targets, only one charge is deducted. There's no time rating because how long the weapon lasts isn't really based on time, and including a time rating could confuse some readers, and make them believe that it is based on time, rather than attacks.

Area of effect[edit source]
This page does not describe how scythe area of effect works. I personally have heard a lot of misconceptions that it works like most other sources of AoE (chins, barrage, etc...) and always decides the splash area based on the south-western square of the targeted NPC. This only holds true for 1x1 and 2x2 NPCs, and the direction of the arc is also not intuitive for larger than 1x1 NPCs.
Best source I know that explains how it works is this clip on streamable. Information from the clip should be transformed into a section on this page in a wiki acceptable style.
