The probabilities for 3 doses of spice total 108%.. The "Complementary Cumulative Probability" suggests that a change of +/- 5 should be 4% instead of 8%. Does anyone know the actual source for this information or where the error is? 126.96.36.199 15:50, February 3, 2015 (UTC)
This page states that each dose of spice has the possibility to change your stats by ±(2n-1) where n is the number of doses used (up to 3 doses per stew). However, each of the pages of the individual spices say that they can boost between -2/+2 and -5/+5, depending on the number of doses. The lower limit is different between the two (lower limit on the Spicy stew page is ±1 whereas on the individual spice pages it's ±2). Anyone know which is correct?

Ways to reset boosted skills[edit source]
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Spicy_stew#Eating_multiple_stews discusses how to track when is the correct time to eat a stew to ensure getting the maximum boost, but there must be several ways to clear boosted skills and clear the 60 second timer entirely. This would save time from having to wait for the boost to tick down between stews, especially if you're aiming for a +5.
Dying would be the most obvious way, but the trick there would be finding quick and convenient ways to do so. To do so in a dangerous location would imply both getting to a bank to deposit your stews and getting to something to suicide off of quickly, conveniently, and probably cheaply. Nightmare Zone should be fairly accessible, but the cost would add up quickly. Burning Amulet, Wilderness Obelisk, or Canoe Station to a wilderness boss would work (Crazy Archeologist near the 44 obelisk and Lava Maze, Vet'tion near the canoe), but since that's a dangerous death, banking would have to happen first.
I found that entering The Gauntlet resets all of your boosted skills, so that's an option for players who completed SotE. And because it stores your inventory temporarily, you can take a whole set of stews and spices to its lobby and keep jumping in and out until you get your boost if it's feasible to teleport from the lobby to where you wanted to use the boost. But as that's a fairly high-level requirement, I wonder what other non-death options might exist to reset boosts that don't require banking and suiciding. It'd have to be something that resets your boosts either on entrance or on exit.
