Teak pyre logs may be used during the Shades of Mort'ton minigame to cremate the remains of Loar, Phrin and Riyl shades. They require level 40 Firemaking to light and grant 120 Firemaking experience when used to cremate a shade.
Preparation[edit | edit source]
To make teak pyre logs, players must first obtain some sacred olive oil. Sacred oil may be made during the Shades of Mort'ton minigame or the Shades of Mort'ton quest. To create the oil, players need to purchase normal olive oil from Razmire Keelgan's store in Mort'ton and then help to restore the temple that lies to the north of the town. Once the temple is rebuilt, players may light the altar in the centre of the temple and use their olive oil on the fire. This converts the ordinary olive oil into sacred oil.
Once the sacred oil has been obtained players will need to use three doses of it upon some teak logs. These logs will then become teak pyre logs and grants 14 Firemaking experience.

- Due to Grand Exchange prices changing based on trade volume, this profit may not be fully accurate if the components are infrequently traded.
Note that both of these interactions use up the same amount of sacred oil, but reward different amounts of experience.
Use[edit | edit source]

|Level required||40 1|
|Firemaking XP||120 xp|
|Prayer XP||33.7 xp|
|Uses item||Loar remains|
|Facility||Mort'ton funeral pyre|
Players may use the pyre logs, along with a set of shade remains (Loar, Phrin or Riyl), on one of the numerous funeral pyres located to the south and to the west of Mort'ton's centre. The pyre can then be lit using a tinderbox, which releases the shade and rewards Firemaking and Prayer experience, as well as some coins or a key. The type of key rewarded solely depends on the type of remains that are cremated, and do not depend on the logs used.
