Dialogue for Alry the Angler

Standard dialogue[edit | edit source]

  • If the player doesn't have the Cormorant's glove equipped.
    • Player: Hello there.
    • Alry the Angler: What brings you to these parts, stranger?
      • What is this place?
        • Player: What is this place?
        • Alry the Angler: I suppose it is a little different to the places your type are used to...
        • Alry the Angler: This is my humble little hideaway! Plenty of fish around to sustain a man like me, with the help of my trusty cormorant.
        • Player: A bird helps you to fish?
        • Alry the Angler: Sure she does! I haven't used a rod in years, just send her out to the waters and she takes care of it for me!
          • Could I have a go with your bird?
            • Player: Could I have a go with your bird?
            • Alry the Angler: I don't know, I doubt that your type's up to the task...
            • Alry the Angler: But it would be quite the amusing sight. Go on!
              • If the player does not have something equipped in gloves or weapon slot.
                • Alry the Angler: I'll keep an eye on you and make sure you don't have too much trouble with her!
                • Alry equips the player with the Cormorant's glove.

                • Alry the Angler: You're going to need to free up your hands first, though. Nothing in or on your hands.

            • Alry the Angler's Angling Accessories store opens.

            • Player: No thanks.

        • I found this big fish...
          • Player: I found this big fish...
          • Alry the Angler: Now that is a biggun! How she managed to wrangle one like that I'll never know.
          • Alry the Angler: If you don't want it, I could take it off your hands for a few of those pearls!
          • Player: I'm interested... How many pearls are we talking?
          • Alry the Angler: I'll give you a hundred pearls for it. What do you say?
            • It's a deal.
              • No, keep the tench.
                • Player: On seconds thoughts, I'd rather keep it.
                • Alry the Angler: As you wish.

              • Yes, exchange the golden tench.
