Standard dialogue[edit | edit source]
During Regicide[edit | edit source]
Talking to Ilfeen at the earliest opportunity after starting Regicide
- Ilfeen: Good day, what are you doing all the way out here?
- Player: I'm just wandering, it's a lovely day for a walk in the woods.
- Ilfeen: It is that.
- Player: Well I shouldn't keep you, see you later.
- Ilfeen: Bye.
After completing The Eyes of Glouphrie before completing Roving Elves[edit | edit source]
- Player: Do you remember Oaknock? He was a gnome inventor
- Ilfeen: Of course! How is the young gnome? I rather liked him he was rather loud, but he had a good soul, and was very interested in elven magic.
- Player: I think Oaknock died of old age some time ago. He must have visited you a few hundred years ago though...
- Ilfeen: I keep forgetting, a hundred years is a long time for you. He was very interested in illusion magic, and how to prevent it. I gave him some advice and a few bits of equipment to help him.
- Player: A seed?
- Ilfeen: Of course. It grew into an axe. I hope he found it useful.
- Player: I think he did! Thanks.
- Ilfeen smiles serenely.
After Roving Elves[edit | edit source]
Talking to Ilfeen for the first time after Roving Elves
- Player: Hello.
- Ilfeen: Hey ya, you're the human that helped my friend Islwyn, aren't you? He told me that he'd given you some crystal equipment.
- Player: That's right, why?
- Ilfeen: When it reverts to seed, bring it to me and I'll chant it for you.
- Player: It just happens I have a seed here, what can you do with it?
- Ilfeen: I can only make shields and bows. I've been trying halberds but so far only Islwyn has succeeded.
- Player: How much for a shield?
- Ilfeen: As this is the first one I've made for you it will be 750,000 coins. The cost should get cheaper as I get to know your resonance.
- Player: I'll take it.
- Ilfeen hands you a crystal shield.
- Player: Thanks.
- Ilfeen: If it helps I have a book here that will tell you about crystal chanting.
- Player: I can't afford that.
- Player: How much is the bow?
- Ilfeen: As this is the first one I've made for you it will be 900,000 coins. The cost should get cheaper as I get to know your resonance.
- Player: I'll take it.
- Ilfeen hands you a crystal bow.
- Player: Thanks.
- Ilfeen: If it helps I have a book here that will tell you about crystal chanting.
- Player: I can't afford that.
After Song of the Elves[edit | edit source]
- Player: Hello again.
- Ilfeen: Hey.
- Player: Are you still offering to chant seeds?
- Ilfeen: I am, but you'll need to supply the seed.
- If the player has crystal seeds in their inventory:
- Player: It just happens I have a seed here, what can you do with it?
- If the player had crystal weaponry before the release of Song of the Elves:
- Ilfeen: I see we have removed some defunct crystal equipment from you recently. I would be happy to replace them for you, unless you want to buy them of course.
- Ilfeen: I can replace for you [amount] crystal bow(s), [amount] crystal shield(s) and [amount] crystal halberd(s).
