        • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Our family is in dire need of assistance. My eldest son, Artur, has gone missing and we could desperately use some help in finding him.
        • Lord Kandur Hosidius: You are a friend of Hosidius. Would you be willing to assist us? You will be rewarded if you bring him home safe.
          • Yes.
            • Player: Yes I would. What do you need me to do?
            • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Thank you friend. I suggest you begin your search by talking to my family and servants. One of them might know where Artur has gone.
            • (End of dialogue)
          • No.
            • Player: No. I'm afraid I have other things to be doing.

  • Player: Hello.
  • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Hello there.
  • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Have you find my son yet?
  • Player: Not yet.
  • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Keep looking. You will be rewarded if you bring him home safe.

Talking to Butler Jarvis[edit | edit source]

  • Butler Jarvis: Good day sir.
  • Player: Hello. I'm helping Lord Hosidius find his missing son Artur. I was wondering if you could help me.
  • Butler Jarvis: I'm afraid I know not where Artur has gone. I do not speak to him much, he keeps himself to himself.
  • Butler Jarvis: However, I've noticed him speaking to Olivia before, maybe she can help.
  • Player: Great. Thanks.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Elena Hosidius[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello. I...
  • Elena Hosidius: You're the one helping to find our son.
  • Player: Yes I...
  • Elena Hosidius: It's good that you're hear to help. Artur is a good lad but he does have a habit of biting off more than he can chew.
  • Player: I was wondering if...
  • Elena Hosidius: He's meant for greatness you know. He'll be a king one day.
  • Player: Don't you mean...
  • Elena Hosidius: Lord. I meant to say lord. Now be on your way. Artur needs your help.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Chef Olivia[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello, I'm helping Lord Hosidius find his missing son Artur. I was wondering if you had any idea where he might have gone?
  • Chef Olivia: I'm sorry but I don't know anything.
  • Player: Are you sure?
  • Chef Olivia: Well I errr...
  • Player: Errr?
  • Chef Olivia: Oh this is awful. Please don't tell Lord Hosidius. He'll fire me if he finds out.
  • Player: Calm down, you have nothing to fear from me. I just want to help find Artur. Do you know where he is?
  • Chef Olivia: Artur and I, we're...
  • Player: You're in love aren't you?
  • Chef Olivia: Yes...
  • Player: Well don't worry, your secret is safe with me.
  • Chef Olivia: Thank you. Before he went missing, Artur told me he was going to find the original copy of the Royal Accord of Twill. That's where he will have gone.
  • Chef Olivia: He's been spending a lot of time in the Arceuus Library recently, researching the Accord. He mentioned a librarian called Galana, maybe she can help you.
  • Player: Thank you.
  • Chef Olivia: Please bring Artur back.
  • (End of dialogue)

The Envoy to Varlamore[edit | edit source]

Talking to Galana[edit | edit source]

  • Galana: Do you need something?
  • Player: I'm looking for information on the Royal Accord of Twill.
  • Galana: The Royal Accord of Twill was signed by the leaders of the five houses over a thousand years ago. It declared that they would take over the rulership of Great Kourend from the Council of Elders.
  • Galana: For many years after the Accord was signed, the leaders of the five houses took it in turns to rule the kingdom with each of them ruling for 10 years.
  • Galana: Those practices have long since been abolished though and Kourend is now ruled by the Kourend Council. The original Accord has since been lost but copies still exist in this Library.
  • Player: What if I wanted to find the original?
  • Galana: Many have tried and failed. You would likely have no better luck. However, if it interests you, you might wish to read The Envoy to Varlamore, by Deryk Paulson.
  • Galana: It details how the original Accord was lost.
  • Player: Do you know where I can find the book?
  • Galana: Try the middle floor, north-western bay.
  • Player: Thank you.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Artur Hosidius[edit | edit source]

  • Artur Hosidius: Hello. I wasn't expecting to see anyone else down here.
  • Player: Are you Artur Hosidius?
  • Artur Hosidius: That's me. Who are you?
  • Player: I'm [player name]. Your father sent me to find you, he's worried about you.
  • Artur Hosidius: He really shouldn't worry, I'm fine. I'll head home as soon as I've finished here.
  • Player: Well could I help speed things along in some way? I promised him I'd get you home.
  • Artur Hosidius: Now that you mention it, I could use some help. There's a chest in the next cave with something important in it. It's got a big snake guarding it though.
  • Player: By something important do you mean the Royal Accord of Twill?
  • Artur Hosidius: How did you know that?
  • Player: How do you think I found you?
  • Artur Hosidius: Oh. Well as you already seem to know, yes I'm here looking for the Royal Accord of Twill. I think it's in that chest but the snake is in the way. Could you kill it for me?
  • Player: Can't you do it yourself?
  • Artur Hosidius: I tried but I'm not very good at fighting.
  • Player: Typical. Fine, I'll kill the snake, just wait here.
  • (End of dialogue)

After emptying the Chest[edit | edit source]

  • Player: I've emptied that chest.
  • Artur Hosidius: And?
  • Player: I found the Accord.
  • Artur Hosidius: Great! Hand it over then.
  • Player: Not yet. You'll get it once you've returned home.
  • Artur Hosidius: Eugh. Fine, I'll go home. You'd better not run off with the Accord though.
    • Why do you want the Accord anyway?
      • Player: Why do you want the Accord anyway?
        • Artur Hosidius: Why wouldn't I want it? The signing of the Accord marked the start of a golden age. Once the royal lords replaced the Council of Elders, Kourend prospered like never before.
        • Player: But that was a long time ago, why does it matter now?
        • Artur Hosidius: Because I think it's time for another golden age. The Kourend Council, like the Council of Elders before them, have failed to do a good job in running this kingdom.
        • Player: And you think the five houses would do a better job?
        • Artur Hosidius: Exactly.
        • What makes you say the council have done a bad job?
          • Player: What makes you say the council have done a bad job?
            • Artur Hosidius: More crime. Fewer homes. More illness. Loss of jobs. The list goes on.
            • Player: But aren't the five houses partially to blame as well? They rule the cities.
            • Artur Hosidius: The council sets the laws and the council sets the budgets. We have to do as they say, just like everyone else.
            • Player: Hmmm, fair enough. Anyway, we'd better get off.
            • (End of dialogue)
        • Fair enough. Now let's be off.
          • Player: Fair enough. Now let's be off.
          • (End of dialogue)
    • I won't. Now let's get going.
      • Player: I won't. Now let's get going.
      • (End of dialogue)

Finishing up[edit | edit source]

Talking to Artur[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello again Artur.
  • Artur Hosidius: Hello [player name]. Thanks for your help in recovering the Accord.
  • Player: No problem.
  • Artur Hosidius: You should talk to my father, he will probably want to reward you.
  • (End of dialogue)

Returning to Lord Hosidius[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello.
  • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Hello there.
  • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Artur is safely back home again. I hear we have you to thank for that.
  • Player: All in a days work.
  • Lord Kandur Hosidius: He also said that you managed to recover the original copy of the Royal Accord of Twill.
    • If you don't have the Accord in your inventory:
      • Player: I did. I don't have it with me though.
      • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Well go fetch it and bring it here.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • If you have the Accord in your inventory:
      • Player: I did. I assume you'll be wanting it.
      • Lord Kandur Hosidius: Yes. I'll make sure it's well looked after. Now as for that reward I promised.
      • Congratulations! Quest complete!
