Starting off[edit | edit source]

If the player has not visited Great Kourend before[edit | edit source]

  • Veos: Hello there.
    • Who are you?
      • Player: Who are you?
      • Veos: The name's Veos. I'm a treasure hunter from the wonderous Kingdom of Great Kourend.
      • Player: Great Kourend? Where's that?
      • Veos: Across the sea to the far west. It is a truly magnificent place.
      • Player: Interesting. So what brings you to Lumbridge?
      • Veos: I'm here on a bit of a hunt. The hunt for treasure. Back in my home of Great Kourend, I came across a scroll. I believe it will lead me to something of great value.
      • Veos: Alas, I've hit a bit of a blocker. The scroll has led me here but as I don't really know the area, I'm not sure what to do next.
        • Can I help?
          • Veos: Hmmm. Maybe you can. You probably know this area better than I do. You might be able to work the scroll out. I'll be able to reward you if you help.
            • Sounds good, what should I do?
              • Player: Sounds good, what should I do?
              • If the player does not have any free inventory space:
                • Veos: First you should go and make some room in your inventory. Once you've done that, you can have a look at this scroll.
                • (End of dialogue)
              • If the player has a free inventory space:
                • Veos: Take this scroll. It should lead you to the treasure I seek. Once you've found it, meet me at my ship. It's docked at the northernmost pier in Port Sarim.
                • Player receives Treasure scroll.
                • Player: Awesome. Anything else I should know?
                • Veos: You'll probably want a spade, I find they're pretty much always needed when it comes to hunting treasure. Check the general store if you don't have one. If you need any extra help, just let me know.
                • Player: Okay, thanks Veos.
                • Veos: Good luck.
                • (End of dialogue)
            • I'm good thanks.
              • Player: I'm good thanks.
              • Veos: Fair enough. I'll be here if you change your mind.
              • (End of dialogue)
        • Well good luck with it.
          • Player: Well good luck with it.
          • (End of dialogue)
    • I'm looking for a quest.
      • Veos: Hmmm. Well now that you mention it, I could do with some help. The name's Veos. I'm a treasure hunter from the wonderous Kingdom of Great Kourend.
      • Player: Great Kourend? Where's that?
      • (Same as above)
    • I have to go.
      • Player: I have to go.
      • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Veos after losing an item[edit | edit source]

  • Veos: Hello there.
  • Player: Hello Veos.
  • Veos: I came across this scroll/orb. Did you lose it by any chance?
  • Veos has given you a scroll/orb.
  • Player: I did, thanks Veos.
  • Veos: Not to worry. Just try to be careful with it.

  • Veos: Hello there.
  • Player: Hello Veos.
  • Player: Let's talk about my quest.
  • Veos: How's the treasure hunt going?
  1. Player: I could do with some extra help.
    • You show the scroll to Veos.
    • Veos: This is the scroll I gave you. I don't know how to solve it I'm afraid. Maybe look for someone named Bob?
  2. Player: I'm still working on it.
    • If players talk to Veos in Lumbridge:
      • Veos: Well keep at it. Once you've found the treasure, meet me at my ship. It's docked at the northernmost pier in Port Sarim.
    • If players talk to Veos in Port Sarim:
      • Veos: Well keep at it. Once you've found the treasure, bring it to me.

    • If players talk to Veos in Lumbridge:
      • Veos: Well keep at it. Once you've found the treasure, meet me at my ship. It's docked at the northernmost pier in Port Sarim.

  • Veos: How's the treasure hunt going?
  1. Player: I could do with some extra help.
    • You show the orb to Veos.
    • Veos: Interesting, these are quite rare. They work using temperature. The closer you are, the hotter the orb.
  2. Player: I'm still working on it.
    • If players talk to Veos in Lumbridge:
      • Veos: Well keep at it. Once you've found the treasure, meet me at my ship. It's docked at the northernmost pier in Port Sarim.

  • Veos: How's the treasure hunt going?
  1. Player: I could do with some extra help.
    • You show the scroll to Veos.
    • Veos: Ah a cipher, I've seen these before. Try shifting the letters to the left or right. That normally works.
  2. Player: I'm still working on it.
    • If players talk to Veos in Lumbridge:
      • Veos: Well keep at it. Once you've found the treasure, meet me at my ship. It's docked at the northernmost pier in Port Sarim.

      • Veos: Well keep at it. Once you've found the treasure, bring it to me.

Digging the last clue[edit | edit source]

  • You dig up an Ancient Casket. As you do, you hear a faint whispering. You can't make out what it says though...
  • Player: Hmmmm... Must have been the wind.
  • Player: Anyway, this must be the treasure that Veos is after. I should take it to him. If I remember right, he's docked at the northernmost pier in Port Sarim.

Attempting to open the Ancient casket[edit | edit source]

  • Player: I don't think Veos would want me to open his treasure. I should take it to him. If I remember right, it's docked at the northernmost pier in Port Sarim.
  • (End of dialogue)

Finishing up[edit | edit source]

  • Veos: Hello there.
  • Player: Hello Veos.
  • Veos: How's the treasure hunt going?
  • Player: I found this treasure!
  • Veos: Excellent. I'll take it off your hands now.
  • You give Veos the Ancient Casket.
  • Veos: Brilliant. This is just what I was looking for. Thank you so much for your help.
  • Player: No problem. So what is this treasure anyway?
  • Veos: Oh err... Nothing important. Just something that might be of use to me back in Great Kourend.
  • Player: If you say so...
  • Veos: Anyway, as promised, a reward for you.
