Hello,

I made this discussion page to ask what Longbow Ben could have been referring to in this dialogue.

The player asks if he has any quests for him, and Ben replies

Nay, I've nothing for ye to do. But I hear there's an old landlubber in Draynor Village who's always a-looking for a lively lad to do him a favour.

Maybe it could be referring to Morgan for Vampire Slayer?

The quest that existed in Drayor prior to his release was vampyre slayer, shortly after his addition was fairy tale 1 with martin, the only other people that it makes me think of are ned and wise old man because of the "old". I would lean towards morgan but I'm not 100% sure Fjaratalk 19:41, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
could be Wise Old Man tasks which were added 6 June 2005, before longbow ben was added Fjaratalk 19:46, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
That is a good guess with the Wise Old Man tasks. However, I think it might be quest-related because I spoke with Ben on my account that has a quest cape, (but has never done a Wise Old Man task), and I didn't receive that dialogue. I was only told that there were no quests for me. Although it does seem to match with the 'favor' part of the sentence. Hmmm... FMAB (talk) 19:51, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
There is also this dialogue from Wise Old Man I'm sure I can think of a few little jobs. This won't be a quest, mind you, just a little favour... so on top of the "old", I'd be very inclined to say it is that. Morgan doesn't seem old, and I don't think he has previously been considered old. I'm curious on the conditions of these other quest requrest dialogues. Fjaratalk 20:16, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, interesting. I think you're right about the quest part. In regards to those other "Nay..." dialogues, when you speak to Longbow Ben, it gives you multiple different chats, chosen randomly. In some cases, you're only speaking to Longbow Ben alone. Other times, Jack Seagull or Ahab jump in with a few Arr's before you get to ask if there's any quests. That could be the reason why the dialogue is slightly different. ("Nay, but the barkeep hears most of the news around here. Or Redbeard Frank, he's often spoken of buried treasure. Perhaps ye should be asking them for quests." vs. "Nay, but Redbeard Frank has often spoken of buried treasure. Perhaps ye should be asking him for a quest.") I'll have to check in-game in a bit.
