There are two tropical tree Agility obstacles found within the Ape Atoll Agility Course. The first tree at the beginning of the course is used to climb up, and the second tree at the end of the course leads to vines that are used to climb down.

An Agility level of 48 and an equipped small ninja, medium ninja or Kruk monkey greegree is required to pass the obstacles, which will then grant the player Agility experience upon completing this section of the course.

Failing the first tree obstacle will send the player back to the course entrance next to the signpost. Failing the second tree obstacle will send them directly below the vines, on the east side of the cliff.

If attempting to climb the first obstacle whilst in human form, the character will slip off and a message will appear in the chatbox that says "You reach for the tree trunk and lose your footing... ...you're not monkey enough to try this!" When climbing down the second tropical tree whilst in human form, the character will fall and the chatbox will state "You jump up to seize the vine... ...and lose your grip!"
