Hunting technique[edit | edit source]

A tropical wagtail being caught.

The hunting technique is the same as for other birds. Players must set up a bird snare and wait until a bird gets stuck in it. Players may repeatably use the same bird snare. Bird snares are available for purchase in Hunter shops.

Multiple traps[edit | edit source]

Bird snaring can be done with multiple traps at once, with the maximum amount of traps depending on the player's Hunter level.

It has a direct quote, copied verbatim, from Old School RuneScape or the Old School RuneScape website.
This beautiful bird can be found in hot jungle climates where it expertly catches small insects for food. It is perhaps therefore ironic that it is usually caught for its bright plumage, which can be used in turn to make excellent fly fishing lures.
