Slayer point boosting is a commonly used strategy to maximize Slayer point gain with the least amount of time spent. This strategy garners very little experience, but can be useful to players who are looking to buy high-point unlocks like the Slayer helm recolours.
Please note that doing Wilderness slayer with Krystilia can lead to a higher point gain overall, but carries inherent risk due to being in the Wilderness. In comparison, this strategy is much lower attention and risk, though it also is a GP loss due to the cost of cannonballs and blowpipe ammunition. For more information, please see the Wilderness slayer guide.
Requirements[edit | edit source]
There are no requirements to use Turael, but this guide will assume some amount of funding as usage of a Dwarf multicannon is integral to finishing tasks quickly. A large amount of teleports are used in this guide, so access to teleportation methods such as jewellery and teleportation tablets is highly recommended.
It is optimal to use a Toxic blowpipe in this strategy as it is one of the highest DPS weapons in the game, as well as ranged, minimising the need to run around. A lower cost alternative would be a Magic shortbow (i), as its DPS is still fairly reasonable while having a longer range than a blowpipe and cheaper ammunition. Melee is not recommended as all of the monsters will be low-HP and thus more time will be spent running to each enemy than actually dealing any damage.
Lastly, it is highly recommended to have access to or own at least a Restoration pool as run energy will be highly taxed with this strategy.
Equipment[edit | edit source]
With a Fire of Eternal Light lit in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves, players do not need to bring a light source. If it is not lit, any version of the Kandarin headgear is suitable to use as a light source.
Please check the following section for which items are used for which teleports so that you can make appropriate substitutions for your diary/quest completions.
The first teleport listed is always the fastest; alternatives may be a significant time loss.
