RE:Update thumbnail image on an article?[edit source]

I'm not riblet but perhaps I can try to help regardless. If an image has a new version uploaded and it is still displaying an older cached version on the page, you can a few things:

  1. CTRL+F5 : This will force refresh the page, and eliminate the possibility the error is on your end.
  2. Make a null-edit, that's as simple as editing the page and saving without making any changes.
  3. If that doesn't work then I've found changing the size on the image on the page can make it update, for example the px argument as shown here:
[[File:Skavid caves numbered.png|thumb|250px|Skavid map]]

Hope this helps. iN008talk 13:44, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

Vote in the Weird Gloop elections![edit source]

Hi Gspbeetle!

Because of your involvement with the wiki, you are eligible to vote on the candidates for the board of Weird Gloop, the company that hosts the RuneScape and Old School RuneScape wikis.

See meta:Weird Gloop elections for general information about this process (and how to vote – it'll take maybe 5 minutes), and meta:Weird Gloop elections/2019/Candidates for candidate presentations.

There are 4 candidates for OSRSW and 4 candidates for RSW, and 1 candidate for pt-RSW. If you'd like to influence who represents the voices of these communities inside the company, I strongly encourage you to vote! You are one of only 204 people that meet the requirements, and this is your opportunity to help shape the future of the wikis.

Thanks! ʞooɔ 01:01, 23 December 2019 (UTC)

Recipe for Disaster onlyinclude stuff[edit source]

Hey, I noticed you were removing some of the inclusion stuff on RfD guide subpages. I'm pretty sure those are used to make Recipe for Disaster/Full guide format properly, so please don't remove them. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask me or come into the discord :) BigDiesel2m (talk) 05:31, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, there is no notes nor explained on these subpages and this is a rather odd inplementation. I have also checked the original RSwiki and never seen such method. Gspbeetle (talk) 05:43, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
Adding more details. The original issue was I found was the subsection edit broken on RfD subpage. After comparing with source of the same page in RSwiki (alot of the fixes can be found in RSwiki; and tbh RSwiki are usually better written by experience), it was found the sections are broken by the includeonly tag. Initial trial found it fixed the secion and also no affect the templates on the Recipe for Disaster main quest page. My mistake would be not aware or expect of the existance of a "Full Guide", but we should avoid discussing the usefulness of such full guide in RfD. Gspbeetle (talk) 06:46, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi Gspbeetle!

To celebrate the two-year anniversary of the new site, we're giving away RuneScape Wiki t-shirts to a bunch of wiki editors. Because of your contributions to the community over the last year, we'd like to send you one! If you're interested, go fill out this form, and we'll get those shipped out before the end of the month.

If you have any questions, shoot me a talk page message or a DM on Discord (Cook#2222). Thanks!

Miscellania[edit source]

Hey! I did a bunch of data analysis on the Managing Miscellania data from RuneLite, and ended up with a pretty good understanding of the amounts/probabilities associated with Managing Miscellania rewards. If you're in Discord or something I'd be happy to chat about it. ʞooɔ 18:40, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
