Adminship

Hi, I'm a custodian on the normal Runescape wiki and all I really would like to do is be able to move pages and move files so that we can have a good filename scheme going on. It seems though that there isn't a custodian group on this wiki, so I was asking if I could be made an admin to help with the wiki since it is fairly new still and needs a lot of clean up work going on. Admins from old wiki

Hey Joey, while I may not visit the first Wiki much anymore, I am on this one every day. Would you be willing to try to get a few new admins around here from the old Wiki or something? Just get a few more people to patrol the images at least, please. Admin tools

Hey, I was wondering if I could be given admin tools to deal with spam and deletions. I've contributed to the main RSWiki for a while (I'm a custodian there), so I know how things work. Hiya Joey, could i get admin on my account so i can help cleanup the vandalism? Also when a page is titled incorrectly ("Chaos_Rune" instead of "Chaos_rune") I was just using redirect in the past but now i see that those duplicate pages still come up in the search results. I think we should just delete those pages, but first move the information if it isn't already present in the other page. Also could you direct me to a page about the correct titling of pages? So far i think that "Chaos_rune", "Warriors'_Guild", and "Chinchompa_(item)" is correct but i want to be positive so that i am not marking pages for deletion or redirect if they are corectly titled. Custodianship

Hi, I'm a custodian on the main RuneScape Wiki and I'd really like to be able to move files here as there seems to little consistency in file names on this wiki. Is there a custodian usergroup on this wiki? If so, could you please make me a custodian? Hi. Wikia is trying to fill in [[Special:Promote]] for all of our top wikis so they will look good in My Wikia. Old School RuneScape Wiki is among our top 200 wikis, and I was asked to make sure you had something on your page :). Common.js stuff

I'm wanting to have the calc.js script copied from the Runescape Wiki, over to here. I already had the calc.js code itself copied over by Spineweilder, but after he had done it I noticed there were still a couple more things that needed to be done to add it.

The first thing is adding a piece of code to Common.js:

                }

There's obviously more to the code higher up in the script, but as I don't know much Javascript, I have no idea what exact parts of the code you need to have copied over. You've worked on the Common.js on both this wiki and the RS wiki, so I assume you can figure it out.

The second part is easier, you just need to copy over the calc.css file, and add a reference to it in the "@import" section of Common.css.

Unable to create new articles and to edit pages

Hi, in the last couple of days I keep receiving automated pop-up messages telling me that I can't create new articles. I sometimes also am unable to edit articles, while they are minor edits and this also applies to the the same articles I edited only mere minutes ago. In both cases I get prompted with anti-something protection messages.

What do I about this? Or did something change recently? It looks a bit buggy from my point of view.

Hey I'm looking for whoever would know the most about particular image files displayed on the wiki.

I'm writing a little web-journal based on my Runescape adventures and I'm using the oldschool.runescape grand exchange page for sprites, but for non-tradeable items i've been coming here. The problem that I'm having is that when I add an image to my page by way of copying the image location, it scales up by 400% and gets all big and blurry. Could you or anybody on the staff for the runescape wiki help me with that, or would it be something concerning the wikia staff?

Hello Joeytje50, Recently, our host site, Wikia is in talks of disallowing external images (such as the ones hosted on your profile) to work. However, before this change happens, I'd like to tell you a couple ways around it.

1. {{R}} is an external image resizer that can be used in conjunction with direct links to images from other wikis. As such,
2. I invite you to use my personal wiki as a host for all the external images displayed on your page.

Of course, if you have your own wiki, I suggest you do that to, but its ultimately up to you. This is a response to changes discussed on A Fandom Staff's talk page. To clarify again, soon, imgur/photobucket images will NO LONGER BE SUPPORTED.

@The scribe Okay I have no idea where this is all coming from exactly, because all I saw was Legaia saying "I've shared this with some folks" (which he did), and then you reacting seemingly out of the blue saying you're fluent in horseshit. So I'm curious where that's coming from. I never called you a major A-hole. I never said I hate you (nor made any statements on how hard it is to hate you). I'm not "hating", and especially not "due to corruption", because I barely know what horseshit you were calling out.

I'm also not saying you're entirely unreasonable. The facts I am observing, however, are that I asked where I can find these specific equine feces, and you (instead of answering that question) responded ad hominem to my question (or rather: as if my original question was ad hominem). This particular reaction therefore doesn't necessarily come across as entirely reasonable either.

With regards to your offer to contribute to JWB, I've set up a github copy of the script at https://github.com/Joeytje50/JWB, which is up-to-date on all of the relevant scripting. If you'd like to contribute, pull requests are welcome. Regarding the patch size: if two commits are working towards the same change, please put them in the same pull request. If they're two distinct and parallel commits, I'd love two individual pull requests for that. You know, the usual git stuff, I'm sure you'll know how this stuff works.

So anyway, I'm still quite curious about my original question which you successfully managed to dodge in your response. And if you felt like I was attacking you with that question, I'm not sure what gave you that impression. But rest assured that I asked the question just out of confusion and curiosity, with an added touch of an attempt to resolve any potential conflict (if there even was one?). Recently we've been trying to recover lost versions of RuneScape that Jagex didn't save. We're asking anybody who played from 2001-2012 to check old computers, laptops, hard drives, or backups for old RuneScape files.

Your userpage says you've been playing since 2005, so it's very likely that you have one of the missing versions. It would be great if you could search any old devices you may have so that these older versions of RuneScape aren't lost forever.
