Icons[edit source]

Inventory icons on the Wiki should be at the highest in-game brightness settings. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkContribs 02:34, March 22, 2016 (UTC)

When I assumed responsibility for the Wiki, a majority of the inventory icons that were imported from the RS3 Wiki were already at the max-brightness settings, and many users who have uploaded icons in the past were of maximum brightness. It's a preference of consistency and having the best visibility for an icon, not a policy.
It's just a preference that has been passed on since the RS Wiki was founded. You're not explicitly forbidden to upload icons at a non-max brightness setting, but it would be replaced if one were to have the time to replace it. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkContribs 19:53, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
The main issue, if you were to upload icons solely from the Grand Exchange Database, is that you will be unable to take into account untradeable items. Getting icons from the database is always cool as it already has transparency applied, but, as I've stated earler, getting the icons from in game at max brightness is usually better to best reflect the icon's appearance.
P.S. Try not removing anything from a talk page. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkContribs 01:19, April 27, 2016 (UTC)
