Welcome to my talk page!
.gif files[edit source]
Heya, could you upload inanimated images in .png format? And would be nice if you could crop them and remove the shadows from the icon images, too. If you need any help, PM me. — Habblet (talk) 21:20, March 8, 2013 (UTC)
Re:File uploading problems[edit source]
If Special:Upload is telling you that it has detected that the file in question is not actually in the portable network graphics format, it is right. Changing a file's extension to '.png' does nothing, please ensure that the file which you are attempting to upload is actually in the portable network graphics format, and hasn't merely had its extension altered. Re:Underground Pass Edit Denied[edit source]
Re:File:H.A.M. Dungeon Map.png[edit source]
All wikis are currently experiencing a bug in its image cache architecture. When users upload a new version of an existing file, the version displayed as current may remain as the previous version, but with the dimensions of the new version, causing it to stretch or squash. If so, the file history also displays the previous, incorrect version as current. -- SpineTalk 17:31, August 12, 2014 (UTC)
Re:Barrows Equipment Edit Denied[edit source]
Yeah I looked through it, and can't tell what kind of bad language is contained within. I placed whatever changes you attempted to make on the page. Should be good now. -- SpineTalk 02:04, October 9, 2014 (UTC)
Taken Image[edit source]
Hi, it seems to be that you've taken one of the images for the Fight Cave strategy guide from a Zybez forum. I'd prefer we don't take images from other sites, but if I remember correctly the RuneScape 3 Wiki has an old version of the map, which we could use. -- SpineTalk 02:54, October 12, 2014 (UTC)
Re:Creating this Page[edit source]
It didn't work because you were missing an important page: Module:Family tree/data. I made both, so family trees should work exactly as they do on the RS3 wiki. Also, friendly reminder to say where you take text from. If you copy a page/template/module from the other wiki verbatim, put something like "Taken from rs3 wiki" as your summary. moluɐɯ 23:11, January 4, 2015 (UTC)
RE: Trading Post[edit source]
The information you added was unnecessary to the article. Information regarding items and the Trading Post was wrong as well, as you can still sell items on the Post if you're trading another person to that person.
Patrolling vandalism[edit source]
A few months ago, me and Mage Hybrid discussed about patrolling for vandalism. We simply checked for any edit made after the last edit we made. For example, if I were to check for vandalism in Special:RecentActivity, I'd check the edits that were made after Mage Hyrbid's last edit. I'd like to make a list of users in my head that are fairly active who would do the same.
In the future, when you are checking for vandalism, I'd like you to just check the edits after the edits of the following users: Me, You, Mage Hyrbid, Icejunito, and ExpectRS. If you're confused just post on my talk page. -- SpineTalk 03:04, May 24, 2015 (UTC)
Duplicate image upload[edit source]
While we do appreciate your attempt to improve the wiki, your upload is of a subject that already exists as another file uploaded to the Old School RuneScape Wiki. Most files' names follow the laid-out nomenclature, so you may search the wiki for the file containing your subject before you upload it or look at the existing images used on the subject's article. Wiki Family Photo[edit source]
The Wiki Family Photo is your opportunity to get yourself within the RuneScape Wiki community as a whole, both RuneScape 3 and Old School RuneScape. You can upload your image to the [[w:c:ty|Ty Wiki]] or upload it to imgur. Please try to have your photo sent in by March 1st.
How to send in your picture[edit source]
Sorry :( ; I thought we didn't have a namespace for it, until I noticed there's two others. If you're willing to put in the effort to make more of these, be my guest. -- SpineTalk 04:08, October 29, 2016 (UTC)
Shaman range spot.png[edit source]
As you might have noticed, the RS Wiki is now an official Discord Partner. Well that doesn't really affect stuff here much, so that's cool.
I recommend that you join the Discord server, mostly to keep in touch with other Wikia members, in particular admins from both the RS Wiki and this wiki. You don't have to, but we, the cool kids (as in me, BombooPro, Brok Enwings, Sword Frog (Jekyll), Scuzzy Beta, and Shoyrukon), are here if you ever deicide to. -- SpineTalk 04:18, March 4, 2017 (UTC)
popping by[edit source]
Nice work with your recent edits
quality memes too -- 22:31, March 7, 2017 (UTC)
I'm assuming you're taking those gifs. Please unequip all items except for the cosmetics, per RuneScape:Images and media policy -- 16:01, March 10, 2017 (UTC)

Do they get that one on osrs, for sure? -- 23:36, April 13, 2017 (UTC)
RS3 image upload
While we do appreciate your attempt to improve the wiki, your upload of File:Speedy Keith.png is of a subject that relates to RuneScape 3. This wiki is for the Old School RuneScape game; continuing to upload inappropriate files will be considered vandalism. The relevant wiki for RuneScape 3 servers may be found here. Thank you. -- 03:41, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
Wiki changes to ext images[edit source]
Hello Metallicanrana, Recently, our host site, Wikia is in talks of disallowing external images (such as the ones hosted on your profile) to work. However, before this change happens, I'd like to tell you a couple ways around it.
Of course, if you have your own wiki, I suggest you do that to, but its ultimately up to you. This is a response to changes discussed on A Fandom Staff's talk page. To clarify again, soon, imgur/photobucket images will NO LONGER BE SUPPORTED.
I just wanted to give you a heads up prior to this change - I hope my personal wiki can serve to help. -- 20:12, June 13, 2017 (UTC)
Hey, I know you're pretty much in charge of the citation templates, so I was wondering if there was a CiteTwitter template such as on the Main wiki? If not, do you mind copying one over? Thanks. -- 18:51, July 9, 2017 (UTC)
Shaman images[edit source]
Hey, I made a general use infobox for tournaments, since I figured it'd be worth documenting as per RS:G. You can see it in use on this page. The template is . I was wondering if you could help make pages for previous tournaments, such as LMS and Deadman Mode Seasonals. Thanks, -- 19:54, August 26, 2017 (UTC)

RE:Elusive drops[edit source]
Hey, this message is to let you know about this thread about forking away from Wikia/Fandom, just incase you missed it. This is also a great opportunity for you to give any feedback for the fork site and propose anything you'd like to see going forward. iN008talk 20:49, September 26, 2018 (UTC)
Re: Following pages[edit source]
What are you trying to do with Template:w:runescape? Interwiki links no longer work like that since we are no longer on Wikia. 02:27, 7 October 2018 (UTC)is perfectly correct. --

Vote in the Weird Gloop elections![edit source]
Because of your involvement with the wiki, you are eligible to vote on the candidates for the board of Weird Gloop, the company that hosts the RuneScape and Old School RuneScape wikis.
There are 4 candidates for OSRSW and 4 candidates for RSW, and 1 candidate for pt-RSW. If you'd like to influence who represents the voices of these communities inside the company, I strongly encourage you to vote! You are one of only 204 people that meet the requirements, and this is your opportunity to help shape the future of the wikis.
Money making guide edits[edit source]
I removed the skilling section because linking to Money making guide/Skilling (which only contains a table that is a subset of the table on the page they're already on) is really not helpful. I also don't think saying "go do [Woodcutting/Mining/Fishing/Hunter/Thieving]", in some vague sense is actually helpful at all, since those are skills, rather than specific activities that people could reproduce on their own. Further, most of the methods that would actually be available to F2P players using those methods are quite poor – how are they supposed to know that cutting willow logs for 17 coins each isn't actually a good use of their time, if we tell them to just cut trees?
I think there is certainly room for a more gentle introduction to money making for new players (kind of like Twisted League/Guide/Money making), but this skilling section surely isn't it. ʞooɔ 00:26, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
Motherlode mine profit per hour[edit source]
On https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Motherlode_Mine?oldid=232951, you made an edit on the MLM Page which included the profit per hour, citing a post by Mod John C. Did he provide rates for the probability of mining a pay-dirt? I can't find the post from googling.
Redirecting dragonbreath potion[edit source]
As the masterful redirect-er, I'm wondering where you would stand on this, Dragonbreath potion currently redirects to Antifire potion, what is your position on changing that to Bottled dragonbreath. I can't make a decisive arguement for either. Choppetalk 15:22, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
Do you want a free wiki t-shirt?[edit source]
To celebrate the two-year anniversary of the new site, we're giving away RuneScape Wiki t-shirts to a bunch of wiki editors. Because of your contributions to the community over the last year, we'd like to send you one! If you're interested, go fill out this form, and we'll get those shipped out before the end of the month.
If you have any questions, shoot me a talk page message or a DM on Discord (Cook#2222). Thanks!
OSRS Wiki clan[edit source]
The clan system is being added to OSRS tomorrow, and I wanted to let you know that we're making the OSRS Wiki clan for editors and readers of the wiki. There aren't any requirements to join, but we have cosmetic ranks for people who edit. Due to your contributions to the wiki, you're eligible for the >extremely prestigious< Onyx rank.
If you're interested, check out RuneScape:Clan Chat for how to join.
