Wild pies are a type of pie that can be obtained by baking a raw wild pie on a cooking range, requiring level 85 Cooking and granting 240 experience when successful. Players may burn the pie while baking one, resulting in a burnt pie; the burn rate while cooking these will decrease as players reach higher Cooking levels. Even at level 99, they still have a chance to burn, unless the player is wearing a Cooking cape. Alternatively, casting the Bake Pie spell from the lunar spellbook guarantees successful baking of all pies. Baking a wild pie at the Nardah clay oven is a requirement for the Elite Desert Diary.
Wild pie heals 22 hitpoints in total, 2 bites each healing 11, and grants a temporary skill boost to Slayer by 5 levels and Ranged by 4 levels. After eating it, a pie dish will remain.
The Slayer boost can be used to kill higher level Slayer monsters, but will need to reboosted if the player's Slayer level goes below the requirement. It is recommended to only use when 2 or 3 levels away from the requirement to avoid needing to eat more pie. The boost does not enable you to receive a Slayer task from a Slayer Master above your level.
Wild pies are popular for fighting the Chaos Elemental or Chaos Fanatic because they heal a lot and when finished leave an item behind. An empty pie dish prevents them from un-equipping Worn Equipment due to a full inventory.
