Puzzle tablet

Maria,

I have my doubts that the locks we have built are truly complex enough to protect the knowledge that will soon be kept here, but my doubts are meaningless as one without any sway in the final decision. You, however, might be able to convince the Kuhu to let us include a layer of redundancy in them. No single, stumbling, fool should be able to get past them. I don't know the exact solution, but my thinking is that perhaps two people working in concert may be the answer.

Mokhaiotl tablet

edit

Barat,

I don't even really know how to write this. Mokhaiotl has fallen. We awoke something, deep beneath the archive. Now everything is lost. The Kuhu gave their lives for us. They bought us the time needed to escape the lower levels. I wish I'd visited you, but the work was so important. I guess now I'll never get the chance. Mokhaiotl may be gone, but we have to make sure something remains. Their last act was one of sacrifice. We have to honour them. We have to remember them.
