Talk:Escape crystal
Rick
editWhy is Rick's shop mentioned twice? Is he selling double infinite crystals in two stores or is there some other reasoning for this? Teemupets (talk) 16:09, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
- its due to the npc having two versions on their own page. Same problem with ancient staff and elbis, we havent managed to solve it yet 16:13, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

Escape crystal teleport mechanics
editThe page currently says that "the crystal can also be equipped and toggled to act in the same manner as a ring of life, although this will cause the crystal to be unable to teleport out from the aforementioned activities, so players must have it unequipped should they wish to be able to do so in those activities."
I just tested this on a beta world and this text appears to be incorrect. When you have it equipped, both auto-tele and manual tele still work (manual tele can be done via the right click menu on the equipped crystal from the equipment interface).

login bug
editNot sure why my edit was reverted. The escape crystal activates if you don't move after logging in and this isn't mentioned anywhere in the wiki.
- That sounds like normal behavior--the escape crystal activates if you don't interact with the client for the period of time you have set. Whether or not you logged in prior to not interacting with the client wouldn't affect it. So, not a bug, and not really different behavior from the usual way it works. - no, that's not the case. I have my escape crystal set to 60 seconds inactivity, and it happens if you take warmth damage at todt immediately after hopping. So, interact with the client to hop > wait a second until you take damage > escape crystal activates after a few seconds of inactivity instead of the actual timer.
