Crystal motes are objects found throughout the crystal-flecked waters in Porth Gwenith, Porth Neigwl, and the Tirannwn Bight.

When the player's boat passes near or through a crystal mote, a wind mote will be stored within a wind or gale catcher. If the player has the maximum amount of wind motes stored, they will not do anything.

Crystal motes are primarily used for the Gwenith Glide Barracuda Trial, where players must constantly be boosted by the wind to achieve the required completion times.
