      • (End of dialogue)

  • (End of dialogue)

Reclaiming a lost prized cake tin

edit
  • Player: I've lost Patty's cake tin.
  • Bob: Luckily for you I have another tin you can give her.
  • Player: But won't she notice that this isn't her lucky one?
  • Bob: She won't if you don't tell her. The original wasn't anything particularly special.
  • Player: So, why wouldn't she just replace it?
  • Bob: You'd have to ask her that yourself.
  • If the player has no inventory space:
    • Bob: I'm not sure we have anything to discuss on that, can I help with anything else?

  • You hand the repaired tin over to Patty.
  • Patty Seer: Oh it looks brand new! Now, is there a chance you may be able to help find my hat?
  • Player: Your hat?
  • Patty Seer: Yes, my lucky hat... it was stolen by a goblin. It can't have gotten very far by now!
  • Player: Why would a goblin want to steal your hat?
  • Patty Seer: I'm not sure... could you chase it down to find out?
  • Player: Of course!
  • Patty Seer: Try near the general store, I heard there was a goblin lurking there.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Patty after giving her the prized cake tin

Talking to Warmhandz

edit
  • Player: Hello there, that's a nice hat you've got.
  • Warmhandz: Yes, it my cooking hat.
  • Player: Where did you get it?
  • Warmhandz: Found it in the castle. Fit my head perfectly!
  • Player: It may do, but I need to return it to its owner.
  • Warmhandz: Without hat, I not chef. Watch for ten years how to cook in castle, now my turn.
  • Player: I may have an idea... Why don't you go and talk to Patty Seer in the castle. She could help you be a chef.
  • Warmhandz: You think she help?
  • Player: Of course! She would probably love to learn about goblin cuisine from you.
  • The goblin stares at you, trying to process your words.
  • Player: Things like food and drinks.
  • Warmhandz: She learn... from me.
  • The goblin starts to move quickly towards the castle.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Patty or Warmhandz in the castle

edit
  • Patty Seer: So you're the one that took my hat, are you?
  • Warmhandz: Yes, need it to be chef.
  • Patty Seer: You... need it? To be a chef? That's absurd. Anyone can be a chef if they want to be!
  • Warmhandz: No... chef hat, always!
  • Patty Seer: Well, I suppose I can let you keep that! It's always brought me luck!
  • Warmhandz: I keep. Lucky Warmhandz!
  • Patty Seer: Of course, you know what every chef does need to do?
  • Warmhandz: Wear hat.
  • Patty Seer: Well, yes, but what else?
  • Warmhandz: Cook. Warmhandz can cook!
  • Patty Seer: Warmhandz can indeed cook.
  • The two begin to talk about baking a cake for the Cake Off.
  • A significant amount of mess and noise later...
  • Patty Seer: Wow, that looks incredible!
  • Warmhandz: I learn ten years from watching cook, and have lucky hat.
  • Patty Seer: You've clearly learned a lot in that time.
  • Warmhandz: Watching not good like doing.
  • Patty Seer: So [player name], what do you think?
  • Patty shows you the cake the two baked.
  • Player: That is a good looking cake! Is it ready to go to the Cake Off?
  • Patty Seer: I think so! It needs to be delivered to Party Pete in Falador. Would you mind taking it to him?
  • Player: I'd be happy to!
  • If the player has no inventory space:
    • (End of dialogue)
  • If the player is on a normal world:
    • Patty Seer: I can offer you a one time teleport to the Party Room if you would like?
    • Would you like to teleport to the Party Room?
    • Yes
      • Player: That would be useful, thanks.
      • Patty Seer: Remember, this needs to get to Party Pete. I'll get you as close as possible, but this is an imprecise art.
      • Player: Imprecise?
      • Patty Seer: Don't worry! I've done this before... Once or twice.
      • (The player is teleported to the Falador Party Room.)
      • (End of dialogue)
    • No
      • Player: I'm okay for the moment, thank you.
      • Patty Seer: Okay, feel free to come back to me when you're ready to head to Falador!
      • (End of dialogue)
  • If the player is on a Quest Speedrunning world:
    • Patty Seer: Best of luck in the judging!
    • Patty would offer you a teleport to Falador on a regular world. It is not available on this type of world.
    • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Patty before getting the special cake

  • Patty Seer: Right, have you got the space to take this cake to Pete?
  • If the player has no inventory space:
    • Player: No, I don't think I do.

Talking to Patty after losing the special cake

edit
  • Player: I seem to have lost track of that cake you baked.
  • Patty Seer: Well, thankfully it's a fairly simple recipe!
  • If the player has no inventory space:
    • Patty Seer: Oh, you don't have enough space to hold one right now, I'll make it when you have room.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • Patty hands you a near perfect replica of the cake.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Warmhandz before going to Falador

edit
  • Warmhandz is happily talking to themselves about baking a cake.
  • (End of dialogue)

Visiting the Falador Party Room

Talking to Patty after using the one-time teleport

edit
  • Patty Seer: I'm afraid I can't teleport you to Falador again, so you'll have to deliver that cake by yourself.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Archmage Sedridor before delivering the cake

edit
  • Archmage Sedridor: I'm very glad Pete didn't ask us to bake a cake... Mixing wizards and baking is a recipe for disaster!
  • (End of dialogue)

Gnome child

edit
  • Gnome child: I have reinvented the meaning of a cake. Observe the exceptional textures of the crunchy.
  • Player: Oh. Okay... I think I can see them?
  • Gnome child: Excellent.
  • (End of dialogue)

Checking the Gnome cake

edit
  • It's the Gnome Child's entry to the Cake Off. It's not really a cake.
  • (End of dialogue)

King Roald

edit
  • King Roald: I'm very proud of this cake... Even if it accidentally rolled back into the oven!
  • Player: It looks entirely burnt! Was there no time to make another one?
  • King Roald: I've no idea what you mean! It seems perfectly edible.
  • (End of dialogue)

Checking the Varrock cake

edit
  • It's Varrock's entry to the Cake Off. It's been burned.

  • (End of dialogue)

General Bentnoze

edit
  • General Bentnoze: Cake should be red! Big High War God say so!
  • (End of dialogue)

Checking the Goblin cake

edit
  • It's the Goblin entry to the Cake Off. It looks like it's made from chocolate. It probably isn't.
  • (End of dialogue)

Thurgo

edit
  • Thurgo: This is an Imcando favourite, cooked to perfection.
  • Player: It looks like a pie?
  • Thurgo: Yes! It's a redberry pie! Have you ever eaten one before?
  • Player: Oh I can't remember! I'm sure it's delicious!
  • (End of dialogue)

Checking the Dwarf cake

edit
  • It's the Dwarf entry to the Cake Off. It looks a lot more like a pie than anything. Perhaps it's an illusion cake.

Delivering the Cake

Talking to Party Pete

edit
  • What would you like to talk about?
  • Birthday Event 2023
    • Player: Pete! I have Lumbridge's entry to the Cake Off here.
    • If the player lost the cake:
      • Party Pete: Oh good, that's the last one I was waiting on! Hand it over.
      • You search all of your available pockets, finding no trace of the Lumbridge cake.
      • Player: Oh, I'm sure I had it just a second ago. I'll track it down!
      • (End of dialogue)
    • You show Pete the cake.
    • Party Pete: Oh, that's perfect! Just in time for the judging too.
    • Player: Great, and don't mind the goblin, they're one of the chefs.
    • Party Pete: Oh lovely! Now there's a couple of things I need to know about this cake.
    • Player: Such as?
    • Party Pete: Firstly, was anything inedible baked into it?
    • Player: I don't believe so, no.
    • Pete notes down information about the cake on a small card.
    • Party Pete: Secondly, may I hold onto it until the judging is over?
    • Player: Of course.
    • You hand the cake over to Pete.
    • Party Pete: Now then, I could use your help with sorting out a slight problem.
    • Player: Oh?
    • Party Pete: Sedridor over there has had some trouble with the everlasting candle. He can't get it to light.
    • Player: Well, that's certainly one way to make it last forever.
    • Party Pete: Unfortunately, an unlit candle is not entirely... celebratory.
    • Player: Do you want me to ask him what the problem is?
    • Party Pete: If you wouldn't mind?
    • (End of dialogue)
  • (Non-event dialogue) Something Else

  • Player: Oh, I'm not sure actually! I'll have to check with Pete.

    • (End of dialogue)
  • Dialogue 3
    • Player: How are you feeling, Warmhandz?
    • Warmhandz: Like goblin that catch the spear! A chef!
    • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Archmage Sedridor

edit
  • Player: Pete said you were having trouble getting the candle to light?
  • Archmage Sedridor: Hmmm. Just a little trouble. Nothing to worry yourself with.
  • Player: Are you sure? The candle is quite important to the celebrations, according to Pete.
  • Archmage Sedridor: I've tried just about everything and it just won't light.
  • Player: Even magic?
  • Archmage Sedridor: ...
  • Player: Just checking! What haven't you tried? Is there something I could find for you?
  • Archmage Sedridor: Dragonfire is just about the only thing left to try. I'm not sure we have time to find a dragon though.
  • Player: Okay then, I'll let Pete know we may be at a loss with the candle.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Party Pete about the candle

edit

    • Player: Sedridor said that it may need dragonfire to be lit.
    • Party Pete: Dragonfire, eh?
    • Player: I don't like where this is going...
    • Party Pete: I did send out an invitation to the dragon Elvarg...
    • Party Pete: Though I haven't yet heard back.
    • If the player has not yet completed Dragon Slayer I:
      • Player: That's a shame, keep hope though. I've heard dragons aren't the best communicators. Lots of fire involved.
      • Party Pete: Well, my fingers are crossed! Especially if we need one to light the candle.
    • If the player completed Dragon Slayer I:
      • Player: I'm not sure you'll get one from her any more.
      • Party Pete: Oh, why's that?
      • Player: She had an unfortunate incident a while back...
    • Party Pete: Well, at least that's that as sorted as it can be.
    • Player: Absolutely. Is there anything else I can help you with?
    • Party Pete: Oh, there is actually!
    • If the player has not checked all the contestants' cakes:
      • Party Pete: Could you check that all the cakes are ready for judging?
      • Player: Of course!
      • (End of dialogue)
    • If the player has checked all the contestants' cakes:
      • Party Pete: Are all the cakes ready for judging?
      • Player: Yes, they are.
      • Party Pete: Great! Are you ready to get underway?
      • Begin the Cake Off Judging cutscene?
      • Yes
        • (Same as below)

  • Party Pete: Welcome everyone to the inaugural Great Gielinor Cake Off! The cakes are ready, and I hope you are too ScryNet viewers!
  • Party Pete: We've got five cakes to judge today, so let's get right into it!
  • Party Pete: First up, we have Thurgo and his Imcando Dwarf Cake! Or... Is it more of a pie?
  • Pete takes a bite of the Dwarf Cake, before taking a moment to think.
  • Party Pete: It's definitely a pie, but it is delicious!
  • Thurgo: I'm glad you like it, I can give you the recipe if you want?
  • Party Pete: That's very kind, but... Could it not have been a cake?
  • Thurgo: No, it's important that it remains as a pie.
  • Party Pete: Next up, the Goblin cake from Bentnoze and Wartface! On first appearances, it looks good. Rich and chocolatey.
  • Party Pete: Hmm. That doesn't taste like chocolate... What is it?
  • General Bentnoze: Is mud.
  • Party Pete: Mud?
  • General Bentnoze: Mud.
  • Pete performs the panic emote.
  • Party Pete: Okay. Moving on swiftly to...
  • The loud beating of wings can be heard over Pete's voice.
  • The camera pans to Elvarg at the entrance, or Alvarg if the player completed Dragon Slayer I. The camera then pans back to Pete.
  • Party Pete: A dragon? Look out!
  • Party Pete: Quick, cut the feed.
  • The scrying orb is quickly covered up, leaving just an audio feed of the event.
  • Everyone get down!
  • The sounds of dragonfire can be heard over Pete's microphone.
  • I think it's over... Can we get that orb back up?
  • Regal Pomp plays as the screen displays, though it is not unlocked.
  • Party Pete: I think we're back?
  • Party Pete: Well folks, that was an unexpected interruption to our show today. Unfortunately we're going to have to cut things short to clean up!
  • Party Pete: Before we go though, I'd like to give a massive thanks to everyone who helped to get us here today.
  • Pete performs the cheer emote.

  • Thurgo: I can't say I'm surprised. I was taking a risk making a pie.
  • Player: Did you consider cooking something more... appropriate?
  • Thurgo: And disrespect fine dwarven cuisine? I would never!
  • (End of dialogue)

    • Party Pete: I can't believe that the dragons' invitation reached them.
    • Player: I didn't think you were serious about inviting them?
    • Party Pete: Of course I was serious! I wanted them to bring a cake...
    • Player: Well I don't think anybody was hurt at least... and the candle - it's lit.
    • Party Pete: So it is.
    • If the player has not yet completed Dragon Slayer I:
      • Party Pete: It was nice Elvarg came, although she could have been a little less dangerous about announcing her presence.
    • If the player already completed Dragon Slayer I:
      • Party Pete: It was nice of Alvarg to come in Elvarg's place.
      • Player: I did wonder which of them would turn up considering Elvarg's... condition.
      • Party Pete: Hm?
      • Player: Oh? Don't worry.
    • Player: Where does this leave the competition?
    • Party Pete: Hmm... Roald's cake was already burned, and the Gnome Child's cookies are, well, cookies.
    • Player: And the Lumbridge cake?
    • Party Pete: Well, I had that held safely away from the others! I'll give it a try now...
    • Pete carefully tries part of the Lumbridge cake.
    • Player: What do you think?
    • Party Pete: It's not made of mud, it's not burned, and it is a good cake!
    • Player: So does this mean it's the winner?
    • Party Pete: It does indeed! Congratulations!
    • Player: Warmhandz will be pleased to hear that!

  • Player: So, I have good news!
  • Warmhandz: Good... news?
  • Player: You won! Your cake was the best of the ones Pete was able to taste.
  • Warmhandz: This mean I am chef now?
  • Player: Absolutely! One of the best.
  • Warmhandz: Is reward?
  • Player: I'm not sure, I'll go and ask Pete.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Patty after winning the cake off

edit
  • Player: Patty!
  • Patty Seer: Yes, [player name]?
  • Player: I have great news! The Lumbridge cake won the Cake Off!
  • Patty Seer: Wonderful! Was Warmhandz happy with the win?
  • Player: Yes, they were.
  • Patty Seer: Do you think they would be interested in travelling and learning with me?
  • Player: You'd have to ask them yourself.
  • (End of dialogue)

    • Party Pete: I'm glad to hear that, do you know if they've baked anything before?
    • Player: No, I'd have to ask them.
    • Party Pete: Well, after that cake it probably doesn't matter. As long as they keep baking from now on.
    • Party Pete: And of course, as part of the winning team, you should be rewarded!
    • If the player does not have 10 empty inventory slots:
      • You need (number of slots needed) free inventory slots to receive your Birthday event rewards.
