The Ximoua is the continuous cycle of destruction and rebirth of the world in the Losanium religion.[1] The cycle ends with an eclipse that would destroy the world, leaving only ash and embers, from which a new world will be born.[2] In Losanium it is believed that when the eclipse occurs Ralos and Ranul will come together at the centre of the world, known as Mokhaiotl,[3] and unite all life as one, restarting the cycle.[4] This knowledge is seen as a gift, passed down from the Old Ones.[5] However, the Twilight Emissaries interpret this knowledge differently, they do not believe in Ximoua (destruction and rebirth) they believe in Tsak Tauli (Final Dawn).[6] They only believe the world will end and that it is their duty to make that happen.[7]
- The continuous cycle of destruction and rebirth is most likely a reference to the Five Suns myth of certain Nahua cultures.
- The word Ximoua is similar to the Nahuatl phrase xihuitl molpia[8] which refers to the completion of a period of years.
- It is similar to The Great Revision in RuneScape 3, caused by the Elder Gods.
