The map pin of "Use your spyglass to get a good view of the Abalone Cliffs from the north east" is wrong. It's north of The Great Conch, where the "Use your spyglass to get a good view of the Summer Shore from the cliffs above it on the Great Conch" pin currently is.

I wasn't able to get (it says level 1) "Find a crate of discarded goods north of Drumstick Isle. Go backwards with your ship to reach it." I backed my boat up and it said "It isn't safe to use chart in hazardous waters that your boat is not protected from." Then my boat capsized from damage.

I wasn't able to get (it says level 40) "Use your spyglass to get a good view of the surrounding sea from the Tear of the Soul." I backed my skiff up to it and didn't work. I also tried backing a raft up to it and also didn't work, I also tried to build the rowboat spot with the raft, however this didn't work and I capsized.

I am aware of the recent back and forth edits of the page where it was filtered by oceans and back, and I wanted to express my opinion in regards to it. I enjoy the separated spread out page more filtering on ocean, allowing me to quickly discover what I have and haven't done yet. I don't feel like completion percentage is useful here. Due to the reason that unlike in leagues. Completion doesn't really matter? Its not a tool to figure out where players can easily spot on what to do next. Rather in the case of Sailing. Charting outside of its easy to get requirements, doesn't really have any difficulty to do it's associated tasks. (Unless its the damn mermaids!)

"Find a stange apple tree somewhere on the Great Conch" requires lvl 45 sailing as it's gated behind the tortugan quest and in inaccessible from the shore. The step is currently listed as a level 1. ~~Poppex

I believe these tasks require a raft to navigate(skiffs and sloops are too large):

-Test the currents south of Lacerta Falls. -Test the currents in the River Crannmor. -Find a Sealed crate in the waters of the Fremennik Isles and sample the contents. -Find a Sealed crate in the Lum Lagoon and sample the contents.

Could this information be put into the tables?

"Help the meteorologist document the local weather on the south western coast of the Isle of Souls." Besides the in game requirement of 57 sailing to get this task, the sailing plugin says I must visit the area with Tangled Kelp, making 72 sailing a strict requirement. Is this correct?

Add an option to see how many Seas and Oceans you've completed, since this can't be viewed anywhere, even in game - you have to calculate that on your own. Might be good to have it in Sea_charting/By_oceans as well.

Missing info on the mermaid guide in the Oo'glog Channel: That mermaid is in the fetid waters, although it is considered Ardent Ocean, and a skiff can only reach it safely at level 51 (although 38 is listed for mermaids). Talking by land I got the "I can't reach that" message. If there is a way to get there at 38-50, it needs to be clarified.

It is possible, I did it myself not 24 hours before your comment. You do however need to get to within a tile or two of the icy waters, directly inline with the crate. Entering waters that you don't have protection against will prevent you from being able to do charting tasks, even if you'd otherwise be able to reach them. 1adog1 (talk) 23:48, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
