3x bone drop doesn't paint the whole picture. You do not have to kill the riders, as only the driver will attack once NPC aggression has expired, who can be blocked by the fence. Before this, yes, the archer and mage are annoying and are best killed if you are safespotting. Additionally, the Gnome Archer, Gnome Driver, and Gnome Mage pages are inherently contradictory, for they each claim the respective gnome "will mostly attack the player once it spawns, but its companions tend to ignore the player completely." This cannot be true of all three, and would only be true of any of them as a byproduct of single-way combat.

Tortoise and gnome rider research has been conducted and the results have been added to the articles. Further research is necessary to determine ironman/main gnome spawning mechanics. Alynnidalar (talk) (contribs) 03:05, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
