Before starting the event[edit | edit source]

Speaking to the Worried Baker[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello there friend.
  • Worried Baker: Oh..what am I to do, Christmas is ruined.
  • Player: What's the matter?
  • Worried Baker: Christmas is ruined, my bakery is ruined, everything is ruined!
  • Player: Maybe this has something to do with Santa in Varrock Square.
  • (End of dialogue)

Attempting to go down the trapdoor[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Never noticed this before, maybe Santa in Varrock Square will know something about it.
  • (End of dialogue)

Starting out[edit | edit source]

Speaking to the children[edit | edit source]

Speaking to Beverly, Bill, Georgie, or Jess will result in the same dialogue:

  • Player: Hey kid, what's all the shouting about?
  • Child: Christmas is ruined!
  • Player: Again? What's happened this time?
  • Child: The man in the shop won't give us our Gingerbread Gnomes, he's keeping them for himself.
  • Player: That doesn't sound right, are you sure that's really what he's doing?
  • Child: Of course he is, why else won't he give us any?
  • Player: Something seems off, maybe I should go talk to Santa to find out what's happened.
  • Child: Do whatever you want, I want my Gingerbread Gnomes!
  • (End of dialogue)

Attempting to speak to any child before continuing with the event will result in the following dialogue:

  • Child: Where are our Gingerbread Gnomes!
  • Player: I'm working on it, I'm working on it.
  • Child: Hurry up!
  • (End of dialogue)

Overhead dialogue[edit | edit source]

A random dialogue is selected from the following:

  • Dialogue 1
    • Child: You've ruined Christmas!
  • Dialogue 2
    • Child: Give us the Gnomes!
    • Dialogue 3
  • Child: Where are our Gingerbread Gnomes!

Speaking to Santa[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello Santa, long time no see!
  • Santa: Ho Ho Hello [player name], it certainly has been a long time.
  • Player: Quick question, why are you hanging out with a bunch of angry children?
  • Santa: Christmas is ruined! My son, Jack Frost, has messed it all up!
  • Santa: I put him in charge of this year's Christmas to learn some much needed responsibility.
  • Santa: All he does is sit at home, eating my mince pies, drinking my eggnog and throwing snowballs at my elves.
  • Player: So why has that caused a problem with the Gingerbread Gnomes?
  • Santa: A major part of my job is overseeing Gingerbread Gnome production here in Varrock. I like to... ensure production is top quality... and do some taste testing from time to time.
  • Santa: As soon as he stepped in, production came to a stand still. I need my Gingerbread Gnomes, it's part of my balanced diet.
  • Player: So why don't you go help him out instead of standing around Varrock?
  • Santa: I'm trying a new parenting technique, he needs to learn from his mistakes.
  • Santa: But in the mean time, could you go and have a word with him? The bakery is south of the Apothecary here in Varrock.
  • Player: Great, now this is my problem, thanks Santa.
  • (End of dialogue)

Attempting to talk to Santa without going to the bakery:

  • Santa: Have you managed to solve the problem at the Bakery yet?
  • Santa: In case you forgot, the bakery is just south of the Apothecary here in Varrock.
  • Player: I'm still working on it.
  • Santa: Hurry it along would you, I'm getting quite hungry.
  • (End of dialogue)

Speaking to the baker outside the bakery[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello there friend.
  • Worried Baker: Adventurer! You've come at the right time. I need your help.
  • Player: Could this have something to do with some missing Gingerbread Gnomes?
  • Worried Baker: How did you know?
  • Player: Santa told me to sort it out for him, he said his son has taken over the Gingerbread Gnome production.
  • Worried Baker: He has been an absolute disaster, he suddenly showed up and took control of our bakery. We tried to stop him, but he locked up the two other bakers!
  • Player: How did you manage to escape?
  • Worried Baker: Well... I don't think he knows how Gingerbread Gnomes are made, he brought in an Icelord to ice the gingerbread.
  • Worried Baker: I threw a stone at it to cause a distraction, giving me a chance to escape. After I got out, I heard Jack lock the entrance behind me.
  • Player: He brought in an Icelord!? I don't know how to deal with one of those.
  • Worried Baker: It's terrifying! I think Jack must have a few screws loose to think that was a good idea.
  • Player: Well, I better tell Santa, since I can't get into the bakery from here....
  • Worried Baker: Please hurry, we need to restart production as soon as possible.
  • (End of dialogue)

Attempting to talk to the Worried Baker before going back to Santa:

  • Worried Baker: Have you managed to free the other bakers and stop Jack Frost yet?
  • Player: Not yet, I'm still working on it.
  • Worried Baker: Hurry we need to get back into production, before it's too late.
  • (End of dialogue)

Anti-Santa and the Jack Frost duel[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hello again Santa.
  • Santa: Ho Ho Hello [player name], have you managed to sort out my son?
  • Player: Not yet, I found the bakery and it appears Jack has thrown a tantrum....
  • Santa: Oh dear, what has he done?
  • Player: Well he's locked the bakers up and brought in an Icelord.
  • Player: One of the bakers managed to escape and is outside.
  • Santa: Where did I go wrong... Jack used to be such a happy young boy.
  • Santa: Looks like I'm going to need to step in if we're going to save Christmas.
  • Player: Great! So you're going to go and talk to him?
  • Santa: Ho Ho Ho, of course not [player name], I've got a better idea.
  • Player: Fantastic... and that is?
  • Santa: You're going to bring Anti-Santa to sort him out, Jack is terrified of him.
  • If the player has completed any Christmas event involving Anti-Santa:
    • Player: Anti-Santa?! No way am I freeing him after all that work a few years ago.
    • Santa: Don't you think I know that! We have no choice I'm afraid.
    • Player: I'm sure we can come up with something better than freeing him.
    • Santa: Well if you have a better idea, spit it out.
    • Player: ...
    • Santa: Thought so, now I'm going to need you to free him from his prison in ScapeRune.
    • Player: How am I going to do that? Evil Bob took him away....
    • Santa: Yes, but we don't need Evil Bob's help this time, I can teleport you into his cell.
    • Santa: You'll still need to convince him to help us though.
    • (Continues below)
  • If the player has not completed any Christmas event involving Anti-Santa:
    • Player: Anti-Santa? Never heard of him, sound's[sic] like an edgy version of you.
    • Santa: He certainly has his... unique aspects to his personality.
    • Santa: But he'll be very useful for scaring Jack. There aren't many things Jack's afraid of, but that giant skeleton is one of them.
    • Player: Where can I find Anti-Santa? I've never come across him in my travels.
    • Santa: A few years ago, Evil Bob locked him away in ScapeRune.
    • Player: Great, I'm sure if we wait long enough, Evil Bob will appear out of nowhere....
    • Santa: We don't have time for that, he trusted me to look after him. Evil Bob was tired of dealing with his dirty laundry.
    • Santa: I'll teleport you right into his cell, you're going to need to convince him to help us.
  • Player: Surely he'll still be angry about last time?
  • Santa: Most likely, but if you tell him that I'm considering setting him free, he'll change his tune.
  • Santa: Take this as well. After you've convinced him to help, you can use this to teleport both of you to the bakery.
  • If the player has a full inventory:
    • Santa: You've got too much on you, come back when you've got some free space.
  • If the player has an inventory space free:
  • Santa gives you a teleport tablet to teleport you to the bakery.
  • (Player receives a Scaperune teleport.)
Fade to black, player appears in ScapeRune prison
  • Anti-Santa: Ha Ha Ha. Well if it isn't [player name], why do you dare enter my domain....
  • If the player has completed any Christmas event involving Anti-Santa:
    • Player: Long time no see Anti-Santa, how's prison life been treating you?
    • Anti-Santa: It has been glorious, you may have thought me to be rotting inside these walls, but I've been coming up with plot to end Christmas once and for all!
    • Anti-Santa: You may of [sic] stopped me all those years ago, but you didn't stop my mind.
    • Anti-Santa: Soon I'll escape these walls and there'll be naught to stop me.
    • Anti-Santa: This pathetic holiday will come to an end and I'll laugh as it burns.
    • Anti-Santa: That red buffoon will not be able to stop me, nor you, nor that dumb cat!
    • (Continues below)
  • If the player has not completed any Christmas event involving Anti-Santa:
    • Player: Anti-Santa, Santa told me all about you.
    • Anti-Santa: Don't mention his name to me, he's everything I hate about this repulsive holiday, I have always dreamed about tearing down this revolting time of year.
    • Anti-Santa: Years ago I almost succeeded, but I was thwarted by that red buffoon and some dumb cat!
    • Anti-Santa: But in the years I've been locked away, I've been plotting and scheming. When I escape from this cell....
    • Anti-Santa: Yes, Christmas will never be the same, children will be crying instead of laughing!
    • Anti-Santa: The streets will be cold and lifeless.
  • Anti-Santa: I will stop Christmas once and for all!
  • Anti-Santa: And soon it will be the year of the Anti-Christmas!
  • Player: *Snores*
  • Anti-Santa: OI!
  • Player: *Wakes up* Oh sorry! You were going on for a bit, I thought it'd never end.
  • Anti-Santa: You've been moved to the top of my kill list [player name].
  • Player: Let's cut to the chase, I need your help Anti-Santa.
  • Anti-Santa: Oh, so you've come begging to me for help, what makes you think I would help you?
  • Player: What other choice do you have? It looks incredibly boring in this cell.
  • Anti-Santa: Well, that's true, but I'd rather that than help you.
  • Player: You're so over dramatic. Santa said he'd consider freeing you only if you help us.
  • Anti-Santa: Oh did he... ...now might be my chance to escape this cell... you know what. I will help you.
  • Player: Finally, he needs you to deal with Jack Frost at a bakery in Varrock.
  • Anti-Santa: Is that it? Why can't he do it himself?
  • Player: He's testing a new parenting technique.
  • Anti-Santa: Really? How are we meant to get into this bakery?
  • Player: He gave me this teleport tablet, it will take us right inside of the bakery.
  • Anti-Santa: After all these years, he's still making adventurers do his dirty work. He's just as bad as me.
  • Player: Trust me, I'm getting tired of it as well, we need to go before it's too late.
Player teleports, fade to black, appears in workshop with Anti-Santa
  • Anti-Santa: Ha Ha Ha If it isn't Jack Frost. You look smaller than last time I saw you.
  • Jack Frost: A-A-Anti Santa!? What are you doing here?
  • Anti-Santa: Your father sent me. Apparently, you've been rather naughty this year.
  • Anti-Santa: I'm here to sort you out.
  • Jack Frost: What? My dad sent you? No way, he put me in charge of Christmas.
  • Anti-Santa: He did and apparently you're doing such an awful job of it, you've ruined it for everyone...
  • Anti-Santa: When you think about it, are you sure you're not my son?
  • Jack Frost: You're not my father, you're just an ugly bag of bones.
  • Jack Frost: I won't let you stop me. Take this!
  • Jack Frost casts Water Blast, dealing 0 damage.
  • Anti-Santa: Ha Ha Ha. Is that all you've got, Jack?
  • Jack Frost: Oh come on! How did that not hurt you?
  • Anti-Santa: You're weak just like your father.
  • Anti-Santa: I'm gonna slap you back to Lumbridge!
  • Anti-Santa casts Fire Surge, dealing 60 damage.
  • Jack Frost: Argh!
  • Jack Frost: You're going to need a lot worse to defeat me.
  • Anti-Santa: Good thing I'm not done yet.
  • Anti-Santa: I learned this from an old friend of mine.
  • Jack Frost: Ouch!
  • Anti-Santa spews out fireballs akin to Vorkath's acid phase, while Jack Frost walks back and forth to dodge them.
  • Anti-Santa: You cannot stop me Jack.
  • Jack Frost: I'm not finished yet.
  • Jack Frost casts Water Blast again, Anti-Santa reflects the blast back as Water Surge.
  • Jack Frost: Mummy!
  • Jack Frost takes 9 damage.
  • Jack Frost: I'm getting out of here. This isn't worth it!
  • Jack Frost teleports away.
  • Player: Uhh...
  • Player: That didn't go as planned.
  • Anti-Santa: Ha Ha Ha. He won't get away that easily!
  • Anti-Santa: I'll be back to deal with you soon [player name]....
  • Anti-Santa pulls off his head, it glows in a blue flame, and he fades away.
  • Paul: Is it over?
  • Player: I can't hear anything? It might be?
  • Player: Is someone in there?
  • Paul: N-n-n-no... go away...
  • Player: Oh okay, fair enough.
  • Player steps away from the door.
  • Mary: Wait! Come back, we need your help.
  • Mary: Jack Frost locked us in here when he stormed into our bakery. We tried to stop him from messing up our production, but he got grumpy.
  • Player: I ran into one of your bakers outside, he said you were in trouble.
  • Paul: Oh Remy is still alive! We thought Jack fed him to the Icelord.
  • Player: Where's the key? The door looks locked to me.
  • Paul: I thought you had it, Mary.
  • Player: Well I thought you had it, Paul.
  • Paul: Don't you think I'd have opened the door if I had it?
  • Player: Don't you think I would have opened the door as well!
  • Paul: Great, now I'm locked in here with you for the rest of my life.
  • Player: Woah calm down! If it's not in there, it must be out here. Let me look for it.
  • (End of dialogue)

Finding the backroom key[edit | edit source]

  • Attempting to enter the Icelord's cage before talking to the door again:
    • Icelord: RAAAAAAAAAAAWR
    • The Icelord sees you trying to enter their cage and blasts you backwards.
    • Paul: Ooooh that sounds like it hurt!
    • Mary: Are you okay dear? That sounded quite nasty.
    • Player: Well, I found the key.
    • Paul: That's great, come on let us out then.
    • Mary: Yes hurry up, we need to get back on schedule.
    • Player: That's going to be a problem, it's in the cage with the Icelord.
    • Player: I've got no way to get it with the Icelord there.
    • Paul: Did you try telegrabbing it?
    • (Continues below)
  • Talking to the door without having tried to enter the Icelord's cage:
    • Player: I'm stumped, I can't find the key.
    • Paul: You've looked around the bakery and no luck?
    • Mary: If it's not in here or in the back room, it must be in the cage with the Icelord.
    • Paul: It wouldn't be safe to go in there.
    • Paul: Could you try telegrabbing it?
  • Mary: That won't work, the Icelord's magic will interfere.
  • Paul: Hmm... You're going to need a way to protect yourself from the Icelord.
  • Player: Don't suppose you have an Anti-Icelord Shield lying around here then?
  • Mary: I don't, do you Paul?
  • Paul: No I don't...
  • Paul: But I do have a genius idea, we'll use Gingerbread!
  • Mary: ...
  • Player: ...
  • Paul: Before Jack locked us up, I saw him using the Icelord to ice his Gingerbread Gnomes. They did a great job of absorbing his breath.
  • Player: ...
  • Mary: ...
  • Paul: You'll need to make a Gingerbread Gnome big enough to absorb the Icelord's breath.
  • Player: How am I going to do that?
  • Paul: Our usual recipe uses: one cinnamon, one ginger, one flour and one egg, we put them into that big machine you see to your left.
  • Paul: Try using more of each ingredient till you get the right combination? Possibly tripling the amount of each ingredient might work.
  • Player: This is such a ridiculous idea, guess I have no choice....
  • Paul: Come back to us if you need some more help.
  • (End of dialogue)

Attempting to enter the icelord's cage after the above dialogue[edit | edit source]

  • Icelord: RAAAAAAAAAAAWR
  • The Icelord sees you trying to enter their cage and blasts you backwards.
  • (End of dialogue)

Making the shield[edit | edit source]

Talking to the door without having made the shield.[edit | edit source]

  • Player: What ingredients did I need again?
  • Paul: You'll need ginger, cinnamon, flour and eggs. We usually only use one of each, maybe tripling the amount of each will work.
  • Player: Great thanks, I'll see what I can do.
  • (End of dialogue)

Making the shield at the machine[edit | edit source]

  • Somethings[sic] smells good, you better check the other side of the machine.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to the door having made the shield.[edit | edit source]

  • Player: So I made the shield, now what?
  • Paul: Fantastic! Now you need to enter the Icelord's cage.
  • Paul: Don't worry, I'm sure this idea will work, just make sure to equip it before you go in.
  • (End of dialogue)

Entering the icelord's cage with the shield[edit | edit source]

After getting the key from the cage[edit | edit source]

  • Player: I found the key!
  • Paul: That's great! Now hurry up and open the door.
  • Screen fades.
  • You release the bakers and give back their key...
  • If the player frees the bakers without receiving the explaination on how to do so:
    • Player: There you go, unlocked without an issue.
    • Paul: Wow, you managed to do that so quickly! Without any help from us.
    • Mary: You're very impressive, what a coincidence that you knew to make a giant piece of gingerbread to protect yourself.
    • Player: Ha ha, yeah, it was no problem.
    • Mary: Well, thanks for freeing us!
    • (Continues below)
  • If the player was told how to free the bakers:
    • Player: I can't believe that actually worked....
    • Paul: ...Me too, I thought you'd be turned into icing for sure.
    • Player: So you're telling me you weren't even sure it would!?
    • Paul: It worked out didn't it? We're free to continue making Gingerbread Gnomes.
    • Mary: That was extremely reckless, Paul, but you're right, it did work out in the end.
    • Player: ...fine. I should go tell Santa the good news, the bakery is back in operation.
  • Mary: We'll be back in full production in no time!
  • Paul: What do we do about the Icelord in the cage?
  • Mary: Maybe Jack was onto something by using it to ice the Gingerbread Gnomes.
  • Mary: You should take the giant piece of gingerbread you made and show it to Santa, he'll know we're back in business then.
  • Paul: Alright, time for you to go, we need to get back into production.
  • Player is teleported outside of the workshop.
  • (End of dialogue)

Attempting to re-enter the workshop[edit | edit source]

  • Paul: Go away, we're busy trying to catch up.
  • (End of dialogue)

Reporting to Santa[edit | edit source]

Children's overheads[edit | edit source]

A random dialogue is selected from the following:

  • Dialogue 1
    • Child: Christmas is Saved!
  • Dialogue 2
    • Child: Give us the Gnomes!
  • Dialogue 3
    • Child: Hurry up with the delivery!

Talking to Santa[edit | edit source]

  • Santa: Ah [player name], you've returned, have you managed to sort out the bakery?
  • Player: Hello again Santa, yes I've managed to sort out the bakery and stop your son.
  • Santa: Ho Ho Ho, that's perfect and what of the Anti-Santa?
  • Player: Uhm... well... there was a slight problem when we returned from ScapeRune.
  • Santa: What happened?
  • Player: He sort of beat up Jack then escaped when Jack fled.
  • Santa: ...
  • Santa: Oh....
  • Santa: Uh... that wasn't suppose[sic] to happen. Do you know where they went?
  • Player: I'm afraid not, Jack teleported out and Anti-Santa followed him.
  • Santa: ...
  • Santa: That's going to come back and bite me in the future... Oh well, problem for another year I suppose, did you manage to make any Gingerbread Gnomes for me?
  • Player: I'm afraid I didn't, although I do have this giant one I used to protect myself from the Icelord, the bakers are going to use the Icelord from now on to ice their gnomes.
  • Santa: Oh, that wouldn't be edible at all, Icelord saliva isn't safe to eat, you better keep that one and maybe go tell the bakers later as well.
  • Santa: Ho Ho Ho, well thank you for all your help this year [player name], I'm sure I'll see you again soon.
  • Player: Yeah... looking forward to it....
  • (Player receives various event rewards.)

Post-event[edit | edit source]

Talking to Santa[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Why are you still here?
  • Santa: Ho Ho Ho, I'm still waiting for the delivery to come in!
  • Player: I'll leave you to it then.
  • (End of dialogue)

Attempting to enter the workshop[edit | edit source]

  • Paul: Go away, we're busy trying to catch up.
  • Player: Just quickly, Santa said you shouldn't use the Icelord to ice your gnomes.
  • Paul: Why not?
  • Player: Something about Icelord saliva not being safe to eat.
  • Paul: Oh, thanks for telling us, we'll go back to using normal icing.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to the children[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Why are you still here? I saved Christmas, you can go home.
  • Child: We still have to wait for the delivery to come in, dummy.
  • Player: I'll leave you to it then.
  • (End of dialogue)
