Our families are a bit concerned of course. They seem to be supportive though. Thanks to the queen, this sort of thing is more acceptable now. Still, I hope they stop asking about 'bedroom compatibility' soon.

[edit | edit source]It was the wedding of dreams! Marrying one of her standing brings some privilege. As such, we were able to hold the ceremony in the shadow of the Acropolis.
As night fell, we were treated to a musical performance more beautiful than any I'd seen. But it goes without saying, nothing was as beautiful as her.

[edit | edit source]Drakan. A name that sends shivers down the spine of any sane man. We'd all heard the stories, the nightmares. Now, he has arrived at our doorstep.
The others aren't worried. 'The warriors will protect Hallowvale,' they say. They don't need to care. Their wives work in the city. They're safe, but she is not.

I didn't tell her, but I paid a visit to the priests at the Hallowed Sepulchre. Icyene and humans are normally buried on different levels. For us, I pray they make an exception. Eternity is too long to be away from her.

[edit | edit source]It's never easy to say goodbye. I thought I'd mentally prepared myself for it. But all the preparation in the world doesn't match reality.
Saradomin, I pray to you. Keep her safe from harm. Please, return my love to me. For in this world of darkness, she is my only light.
