Star group isolation per region

[edit source]

I've isolated Asgarnia's star group for example. I think this is preferable to every star being on one map, but I think there should be a "final map" at the end to make up for losing them on the individual maps if they're going to be isolated per region. Meaning, there may be a full duplication - once for the individual region map, and once for the global map at the top of the page. --Kvothe the Bloodless (talk) 18:27, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Trahaearn Mine location

[edit source]

Should we add a pin to the overground map of landing sites for the Trahaearn mine location? I know this is technically within Prifddinas, but a lot of people just look at the overworld map and miss this location in the article - any time I'm mining there, people complain that the location isn't on the map. For the sake of convenience, it might be useful to add a pin to its approximate location on the overworld map. --Slimelia (talk) 12:50, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

I'd personally be in favour, try adding it to the map and see how it looks Luna Lana probaly mispelt this 12:54, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
I've added an overworld maplink and kept the Prif one, I've tried to get the overworld one as close as I can! --Slimelia (talk) 13:19, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

"Historical" Section Contents

[edit source]

Many points in the "Historical" section should probably be moved to "Trivia".

It does seem to give double stardust when mining a star different then you recently found.

"On every world, a shooting star will fall at a random spot" I don't believe stars fall on every world, and this makes it sound like there is a guaranteed star going to be dropping on every single world, I just think this is worded incorrectly.

"Experience rates vary greatly based on level, the tier of pickaxe used, and time spent locating stars. If mining consistently, players can expect approximately 30,000 experience per hour." kinda contradictory, no? I appreciate that there's some XP rate given but what level/pickaxe is that 30,000 for? (for context I consistently get 25k/hr at 85 mining with a rune pickaxe)

Does pickaxe type affect mining chance? Graph implies not. Also add how many dust per hour? As far as I can tell the amount 600-900 per hour is only in the money making guide

Shooting stars have a chance to break/disappear before they "should" (e.g. when lvl1 has been mined), but it doesn't say as such on OSRS Wiki. For instance, a lvl7 crashed star disappeared yesterday after we had mined a single layer.

What happened was a new star landed on that world, which removes an existing one even if it hasn't been fully mined yet. This is mentioned on the page under Shooting Stars#Mining but I'll see if I can make it more prominent. Alynnidalar (talk) (contribs) 16:00, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
