Talk:Angler waders
I stand corrected, Crow. Thankyou for correcting my error. Had not come across stockingfoot waders before now. But disagree with your opinion of "weirdly aggressive"; I had considered my statement correct and factual when I wrote it. IMHO your comment at that point was impolite and uncalled for. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Camelus ferus (talk) on 23:54, 26 October 2023 (UTC).
- I was stating the reasons why I reverted your edits. It having a weirdly aggressive tone was part of the reasons for reverting, so I don't really think it was "uncalled for". As such, even if the trivia point had actually been true it would have needed to have been reworded due to that inappropriate tone, as it wasn't just plainly stating facts. Statements such as "Jagex is entirely incorrect", "What is shown are trousers, nothing more.", and "It is illogical (if not impossible)" are examples of what I mean by "weirdly aggressive" or inappropriate. Thanks for your quick response. My apologies for not signing the original: I was on my mobile which does not display the "This page is for talking..." box which I have just discovered by clicking "Read as wiki page". I did not do that first time so I did not see the instructions. The instructions box is instantly visible on the web page on a PC. As a suggestion (in good faith) perhaps the "Read as a wiki page" (on mobile) could be expanded to "read as a wiki page / see instructions" or something similar? It was not obvious to me that I should have clicked that to see how to submit a comment - but that may be just me. I did not intentionally break protocol. I think we will just need to disagree, I am happy my error was deleted but it could have been deleted with a statement saying it is innacurate, period. I remain unhappy about "weirdly aggressive" - it's a comment on my mental state and I suggest that conflicts with "Be civil". Saying someone is wrong is not aggressive but factual (if they are indeed wrong): "the Earth is flat and made of cheese" - "You are entirely wrong". But, I suspect we will not agree on that point (the waders, hopefully not the Earth . . .). Time to move on. I will endeavour to be as neutral as I can (with a suitable delay in upload to reflect) for future edits. Camelus ferus (talk) 12:05, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
