The rotten egg is an item available only to Jagex Moderators, similar to the rotten potato, cabbage and carrot. Much of its functionality is unknown, but is assumed to be used for testing features on the Old School RuneScape servers.

A Jagex Moderator uses the Scramble option to spawn Abyssal Sires during a community stream.

It is found to have four right-click options:
