Scenery refers to the various decorative and natural objects found around the game world such as trees, rocks and plants. All types of scenery can be examined, and even interacted with in some cases. For example, trees can be cut, ranges and fires can be used to cook raw food, and storage units can be searched.

Some larger scenery will block a player's path (for example, trees and plants), while others have no colliders and can be walked over (for example, ferns). The scenery you can walk over will prevent you from lighting a tinderbox. Some types of scenery will block the path, but will allow for attacks with projectiles, enemies can be tricked by exploiting these types of scenery, this is also referred to as safespotting.
