Talking to the Easter Bunny

[edit | edit source]
  • Easter Bunny: Hello [player name], have you seen my egg mould anywhere?
  • Player: No I haven't, sorry. Where was the last place you saw it?
  • Easter Bunny: I placed it next to the path before having my dinner.
  • Player: And the egg mould wasn't there after?
  • Easter Bunny: No! There are children who often run past here. They might have picked it up. Do you know who they are?
  • Player: I think they're Gertrude's children, she lives west of here.
  • Easter Bunny: Could you go talk to her and see if she has my egg mould?
  • Start the Easter event?
  • Yes
    • Player: Of course, I would be happy to help.
    • Easter Bunny: Thank you. If you find where it is, let me know before you move the egg mould about, it's very fragile!
    • You've started the Easter event: The Egg Mould Hunt
    • (End of dialogue)
  • No
    • Player: Maybe later.
    • Easter Bunny: Okay, come back if you change your mind.
    • (End of dialogue)

Talking to the Easter Bunny again

[edit | edit source]
  • Easter Bunny: Have you talked to Gertrude yet?
  • Player: No, not yet.
  • Easter Bunny: Please hurry, I'm hopping out of time to make Easter eggs!
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Gertrude

[edit | edit source]
  • What would you like to talk about?
  • Easter 2023
    • Player: Hello Gertrude, how are you doing?
    • Gertrude: I'm okay, but my boys have been up to no good recently. They've been very secretive since last night.
    • Player: I actually came to ask about them. The Easter Bunny says his egg mould went missing last night!
    • Gertrude: Well the boys never tell me anything, but it wouldn't surprise me if they have taken it.
    • Player: What makes you say that?
    • Gertrude: Last year, fewer people were buying kittens, so I couldn't afford Easter Eggs for the boys. You should go talk to them. Kanel and Philop are in the house, Shilop and Wilough are probably in Varrock Square.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • (Non-event dialogue) Talk about something else...

Gertrude's Children

Talking to Philop

[edit | edit source]
  • Player: Hello Philop, do you know where the egg mould is?
  • Philop: I don't know what that is.
  • Player: What were you doing yesterday evening?
  • Philop: I was playing with my friend because my brothers ran off.
  • Player: What friend? Do you know their name?
  • Philop: No, but he is very fun to play with!
  • Player: Can you describe him?
  • Philop: He smells like the stray dog and always asks people for money.
  • Player: That sounds like Charlie the Tramp in the south of Varrock!
  • The boys must have hid the mould close to Charlie the Tramp.
  • Philop: Yes Charlie, he's my friend.
  • Player: I'd better go, thank you Philop!
  • Philop: Bye bye, new friend.
  • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Philop again

    • Player: Hello again Philop.
    • The child is too busy playing to take any notice.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • If the player has already talked to Shilop:

Talking to Charlie

  • What would you like to talk about?
  • Easter 2023
    • Player: Did you see some boys playing here last night Charlie?
    • Charlie the Tramp: Aye, those lads are always causing trouble around here.
    • Player: Did you see any of them holding an egg mould?
    • Charlie the Tramp: I didn't see them properly, Philop came to play with me as his brothers ran off and left him. Maybe they ran off to hide it.
    • Player: That makes sense, thanks Charlie.
    • Charlie the Tramp: No problem, got any spare change?
    • Player: Maybe later, I need to go find this egg mould.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • (Non-event dialogue) Talk about something else...

Talking to Kanel

[edit | edit source]
  • Player: Hello Kanel, do you know where the egg mould is?
  • Kanel: My name is 11 1 14 5 12.
  • Player: Huh, what does that mean?
  • Kanel: Kanel! I learnt how to write my name in alphabet number code today at school!
  • Player: Okay, 11 1 14 5 12, do you know where the egg mould is?
  • Kanel: I didn't steal it!
  • Kanel: I wasn't allowed to leave the house because I didn't finish my homework.
  • Player: If I help you finish your homework, could you find out where the egg mould is from the other boys?
  • Kanel: Okay! I'll gladly help if it means I can go play.
  • Player: So what is your homework assignment?
  • Kanel: The question was... What does 8 1 16 16 25 | 5 1 19 20 5 18 mean?
  • What does 8 1 16 16 25 | 5 1 19 20 5 18 mean? (player input)
  • If the player inputs the wrong answer:
    • Kanel: That doesn't look right.
    • Continues above from "The question was... What does 8 1 16 16 25 | 5 1 19 20 5 18 mean?"
  • If the player inputs "HAPPY EASTER":
    • Kanel: That looks right, thanks!
    • Kanel: Thanks for helping me with my homework. Thinking back, I overheard Wilough and Shilop talking about a colourful spade at dinner.
    • Player: A colourful spade? Thanks for the information Kanel.
    • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Kanel again before answering the question

[edit | edit source]
  • Player: So what is your homework assignment?
  • (Same as above)

    • Player: If I get some, I will give them to Gertrude to hand out between you boys.
    • (End of dialogue)

Talking to Wilough

[edit | edit source]
  • What would you like to talk about?
  • Easter 2023
    • Player: Hello Wilough, do you know where the egg mould is?
    • Wilough: If I did, why would I tell you?
    • Player: Without the egg mould, no Easter eggs can be made. That would be Easter ruined in Gielinor!
    • Wilough: Well if you're good enough to save Easter, you will be good enough to beat me in Egg, Silk or Secateurs.
    • Player: Egg, Silk or Secateurs?
    • Wilough: Everyone plays it at school, haven't you heard of it? After counting to 3, you pick one. Egg beats secateurs, secateurs beat silk, silk beats egg. Simple.
    • Play Egg, Silk or Secateurs? (cutscene)
    • Yes
      • A cutscene begins. Wilough and the player walk towards the center of the screen.
      • Wilough: Egg...
      • Player: Egg...
      • Wilough: Silk...
      • Player: Silk...
      • Wilough: Secateurs...
      • Player: Secateurs...
      • Wilough: Go!
      • Player: Go!
      • Select an Option
      • Egg
        • If Wilough picks secateurs:
          • You picked egg and Wilough picked secateurs.
          • Wilough: I win!
          • Player: How? Egg beats secateurs.
          • Wilough: My secateurs are magic, I found them by a farm patch.
          • (Continues below)
        • If Wilough picks egg:
          • You picked egg and Wilough picked egg.
          • Wilough: I win!
          • Player: How? It should be a draw.
          • Wilough: My egg is hard boiled and will smash your egg into pieces.
          • (Continues below)
      • Silk
        • If Wilough picks egg:
          • You picked silk and Wilough picked egg.
          • Wilough: I win!
          • Player: How? Silk beats egg.
          • Wilough: My egg is freshly hard boiled. The heat shrinks your low quality silk to powder.
          • (Continues below)
        • If Wilough picks silk:
          • You picked silk and Wilough picked silk.
          • Wilough: I win!
          • Player: How? It should be a draw.
          • Wilough: My silk is from the silk chasm far north from here. The best quality silk in Gielinor!
          • (Continues below)
      • Secateurs
        • If Wilough picks silk:
          • You picked secateurs and Wilough picked silk.
          • Wilough: I win!
          • Player: How? Secateurs beat silk.
          • Wilough: My silk is from the silk chasm, so finely woven it cannot be cut by your blunt secateurs.
          • (Continues below)
        • If Wilough picks secateurs:
          • You picked secateurs and Wilough picked secateurs.
          • Wilough: I win!
          • Player: How? It should be a draw.
          • Wilough: My secateurs are magic and superior in every single way, I found them by a farm patch.
          • (Continues below)
      • Player: That's not fair!
      • Wilough: I didn't get an Easter egg last year, life's not fair.
      • Wilough walks away, and Horvik walks out of his shop.
      • Horvik: Come talk to me.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • No

Talking to Shilop

[edit | edit source]
  • What would you like to talk about?
  • Easter 2023
    • Shilop: What do you want?
    • If the player has beaten Wilough at egg, silk or secateur:
      • Player: Hello Shilop, don't suppose you want to play me at egg, silk or secateurs?
      • Shilop: No, I always lose that game against Wilough.
      • Player: I can understand why.
      • Shilop: I'm smarter and better than Wilough at everything else though!
      • Player: I'm sure you are!
      • Shilop: I'm probably smarter than you too!
      • Player: I doubt that. Out of curiosity, do you know where the egg mould is?
      • (Same as below)
    • If the player has not beaten Wilough at egg, silk or secateur:
      • Player: Hello Shilop, do you know where the egg mould is?
      • Shilop: An egg mould is missing? Why would I know about that?
      • Player: I talked to Gertrude. She said you boys didn't get an Easter egg last year.
      • Shilop: Well [player name], you're very smart, aren't you?
      • Player: I would like to think so. So, the egg mould?
      • (Same as below)
    • Shilop: I might know where it is. If you can solve this challenge, I will give you a hint, but if I win, what do I get?
    • Player: If you win, I'll buy an Easter egg for you.
    • Shilop: Deal! Let the smartest person win.
    • Shilop: I learnt about anagrams recently. I'll give you 3 guesses.
    • Shilop: The anagram is 'andri', water goes into it, what is it?
    • Select an Option
    • Drink
      • Shilop: That's not even an anagram of andri!
      • (Continues below)
    • Nadir
      • Shilop: That's not even a word!
      • Player: Yes, it is. It means something like the lowest point. Doesn't the word summon up images of adventure and dungeons?
      • Shilop: Maybe, but it's not the answer.
      • (Continues below)
    • Drain
      • Shilop: Maybe you are smarter than I thought.
      • Player: I'm surprising everyone today!
      • Shilop: Before I give you my hint, why do you want the egg mould? It wouldn't work for us.
      • Player: The Easter Bunny asked me to search for it, I think the egg mould will work if I can return it.
      • Shilop: I hope it will. We just wanted to make some Easter eggs because we didn't get any last year.
      • Player: If it's still working, I will give Gertrude some Easter eggs to share with you boys.
      • Shilop: Thank you, [player name].
      • Shilop: We hid the egg mould near a drain. If you want to know more you'll need to ask my brothers.
      • Player: I should have known from the anagram! I'd better get to it soon, otherwise it might be damaged.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • Rainy
      • Shilop: That's not even an anagram of andri!
      • (Continues below)
    • If the player has two guesses left:
      • Shilop: That was your first guess!
      • Shilop: The anagram is 'andri', water goes into it, what is it?
      • (Shows unguessed options.)
    • If the player has one guess left:
      • Shilop: That was your second guess!
      • Shilop: The anagram is 'andri', water goes into it, what is it?
      • (Shows unguessed options.)
    • If the player has no guesses left:
      • Shilop: That was your last guess! Seeing as you're so bad at this I'll give you one more guess.
      • Shilop: The anagram is 'andri', water goes into it, what is it?
      • Player: Drain?

[edit | edit source]
  • What would you like to talk about?
  • Easter 2023
    • Horvik: I'm glad you came to speak to me. That child has been cheating at that game for far too long.
    • Player: I can't believe I got tricked by a child, does he do this often?
    • Horvik: I hear him play the same game every day with different people, and he always wins. Today, we will change that.
    • Player: How... He seems to have an answer for all possibilities?
    • Horvik: I received a gift from an old friend a while ago, but I have no space in my store to mount it.
    • Player: A gift? I don't think a present is going to make me win...
    • If the player has no inventory space:
      • Horvik: It seems you do not have enough space for my gift.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • If the player already has the giant bronze dagger:
      • (End of dialogue)[sic]
    • You receive a Giant Bronze Dagger from Horvik.
    • Player: Wow!
    • Horvik: That should beat egg, silk or secateurs.
    • Player: He has no idea what's going to hit him!
    • Horvik: I wouldn't hit him with it... you'll kill him!
    • Player: No of course not! I meant figuratively.
    • Horvik: Excellent, go show that boy some humility.

        • Player: That was a weapon that will slice your finely made silk, smash your hard-boiled egg and separate your magic secateurs.
        • Wilough: That's not fair!
        • Player: I'm just playing by your rules.
        • Wilough: Nobody has ever beat me at Egg, Silk or Secateurs.
        • Wilough: You might be good enough to save Easter after all... we hid the egg mould near the pub, but that's all I'm telling you.

  • Player: I think I know where it is! It's buried near a drain, by the pub, south of Varrock.
  • Easter Bunny: Buried? I pray to Saradomin that the egg mould is still intact. Here, take this. It has a connection to the egg mould and will help you extract it without further damage.

    • Easter Bunny: You need 1 inventory space free.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • You receive an eastfloor spade from the Easter Bunny.

Talking to the Easter Bunny after getting the mould

[edit | edit source]
  • Easter Bunny: Did you find the egg mould?
  • Player: I found it! Is it still okay to use?
  • The Easter Bunny inspects the egg mould.
  • Easter Bunny: There are a few scratches, but it might work.
  • Player: Great! I will be off then.
  • Easter Bunny: Could you help me with just one more small favour?
  • Player: One small favour? I feel I know that saying from somewhere... what do you need?
  • Easter Bunny: Before I start mass production of the Easter eggs again, it would be great if you could make a few, just to check everything is working properly.
  • Player: I guess I can help, just one last time.
  • Select an Option
  • How do I make an Easter egg?
    • Easter Bunny: It's very simple, first cover the mould in my special chocolate dust. Then heat the mould to melt the chocolate. You can then take the egg half out of the mould.
    • Easter Bunny: Use two Easter egg halves together to create an Easter egg, place the warm Easter egg in the freezing milk bucket to solidify the egg.
    • Player: That seems simple enough.
    • Easter Bunny: Great! We'll know if the mould is still in good condition if you can make 5 Easter eggs?
    • Player: 5 Easter eggs coming up.
    • (End of dialogue)
  • Can I have some ingredients to make an egg?
    • If the player has insufficient inventory space:
      • Easter Bunny: You need inventory spaces for [number] items.
      • (End of dialogue)
    • Easter Bunny: Sure, there you go...
    • (Player receives two easter chocolate dust and a bucket of freezing milk.)
    • (End of dialogue)

Talking to the Easter Bunny after giving him the mould

[edit | edit source]
  • The Easter Bunny inspects the egg mould.
  • (Same as above)

Making the eggs

[edit | edit source]

Correctly

[edit | edit source]
  • Using the dust on the mould:
    • You cover the mould in a layer of chocolate dust.
  • Using the dusted egg mould on a fire/range:
    • You heat the egg mould.
  • Emptying the hot egg mould:
    • You pop the warm egg half out of the mould.
  • Using one egg half on the bucket of freezing milk:
    • I need to stick two halves together before cooling them.
  • Using one egg half on the other:
    • The warm chocolate seals the two egg halves together.
  • Using the warm egg on the freezing milk:
    • You cool the egg with the freezing milk.

Incorrectly

[edit | edit source]
  • Using the dust on the freezing milk:
    • It would be a waste to use these ingredients for chocolate milk.
  • Using the freezing milk on the mould:
    • Easter eggs are made from chocolate, not milk.
  • Using the dust on another piece of dust:
    • That would just make a bigger pile of chocolate dust.
  • Using more dust on the dusted egg mould:
    • The mould is already dusted with chocolate.
  • Using the freezing milk on the dusted egg mould:
    • That would just wash away the chocolate dust.
  • Using the dust on the hot egg mould:
    • The mould already has a layer of chocolate in it.
  • Using the freezing milk on the hot egg mould:
    • The egg half should be removed from the mould before cooling it in the milk.
  • Emptying the hot egg mould with no inventory space:
    • You need one more inventory space to hold the chocolate egg half.
  • Using the dust on the egg half:
    • That doesn't need more chocolate adding[sic] to it.
  • Using one egg half on the mould:
    • There is no need to remould the egg half.
  • Using one egg half on the dusted egg mould:
    • The mould is already dusted with chocolate.
  • Using the dusted egg mould on the easter egg half:
    • The mould is already dusted in chocolate.
  • Using one egg half on the hot egg mould:
    • The mould already has a layer of chocolate in it.
  • Using the dust on the warm egg:
    • That doesn't need more chocolate adding[sic] to it.
  • Using the warm egg on the mould:
    • There is no need to remould the egg.
  • Using the warm egg on the dusted egg mould:
    • The mould is already dusted with chocolate.
  • Using the warm egg on the hot egg mould:
    • The mould already has a layer of chocolate in it.
  • Using another egg half on the warm egg:
    • The egg does not require a third half.
  • Using another warm egg on the warm egg:
    • No double eggs this year.
  • Using the dust on the Easter egg:
    • That doesn't need more chocolate adding[sic] to it.
  • Using the freezing milk on the Easter egg:
    • The Easter egg is already cool.
  • Using the Easter egg on the mould:
    • There is no need to remould the egg.
  • Using the Easter egg on the dusted egg mould:
    • The mould is already dusted with chocolate.
  • Using the Easter egg on the hot egg mould:
    • The mould already has a layer of chocolate in it.
  • Using an egg half on the Easter egg:
    • The egg does not require a third half.
  • Using the warm egg on the Easter egg:
    • No double eggs this year.
  • Using another Easter egg on the Easter egg:
    • No double eggs this year.
  • When Cooking has been drained to 0
    • You need a Cooking level of 1 to heat the egg mould.
