Trawling net
A trawling net is a type of facility that can be installed on player-owned skiffs and sloops. They can be used for deep sea trawling at shoals, providing Sailing and Fishing experience and fish that can be placed in the ship's cargo hold. Better trawling nets will allow players to catch higher quantities of fish per successful action, as well as being able to catch certain shoals that swim to deeper depths. All nets fish at the same speed of 4 ticks, although with tick manipulation this can be every 2 ticks.
A maximum of 250 fish can be stored in a net, regardless of type, before it is full; the "Collect-from" option will allow players to place their catch in the inventory or cargo hold. Additionally, having two trawling nets on a boat does not provide additional capacity, and emptying one will empty both.
If the player disembarks or teleports away, any uncollected fish will be discarded upon doing so. When logging out via the logout button, a warning message will be shown to allow uncollected fish to be automatically be transferred to the cargo hold upon logging out, if the cargo hold is full, any excess will be discarded. However, any forceful logouts (X-logging, 6 hours log or disconnecting) will result in any uncollected fish to be discarded. If both the cargo hold and inventory are full, and there are still fish in the net that haven't been collected, the player can either drop fish and collect, or use them on one of the chum facilities. Alternatively, the player can sail to the bank boat to empty their cargo without disembarking.
Ironman accounts receive a warning if they try to use a trawling net tier that they have not personally constructed at least once. This restriction is based on the highest tier of trawling net installed on the ship. For example, if a ship is fitted with both a hemp and a linen trawling net, an Ironman who has only ever built up to a linen trawling net will not be able to use the nets on that ship, because the presence of the hemp net requires them to have previously built a hemp trawling net.
When an ironman acts as a crewmate operating the trawling net, the net's capacity for the crewmate player is independent of the capacity for the ship's owner, and the fish caught by the crewmate can not be emptied into the cargo hold. As such, ironmen can not receive help to acquire fish faster.
