Tempestus is an inaccessible city constructed on the islands of the Tempest Bay within Varlamore. The book Imafore's betrayal describes Tempestus as "the floating city", although it does not literally float in the air - rather, it refers to how the city is floating on the water.

The city is known for the College of Bards, a school of performers and entertainers.^[1] It is here where Hameln the Jester obtained a poem that referenced the Morytanian town of Slepe.^[2]. Various bards from the college can be found across Varlamore.

At one point, the Cloud Titan, leading a band of hill giants, resided in the area until it was slain, presumably by a united force of Pericans and Talkasti, in order to secure the islands as a new settlement for their people.^[3]^[4]
