The empty tax bag is used during The Fremennik Isles quest for collecting taxes from the shopkeepers and more inhabitants of Jatizso. While collecting taxes, it will become a light tax bag, then a normal tax bag, and finally a hefty tax bag. Tax bags cannot be banked, as "a magical force prevents you from banking this item!"

Trivia

• If a player destroys the tax bag and collects more taxes, a new tax bag will spawn in their inventory along with the message "Something odd has happened to your tax bag."
• Similarly, if the player talks to King Gjuki Sorvott IV without a tax bag, he will hand the player a new one saying "Something odd has happenend to your tax bag. Let's try and sort it out."
