The lever schematic is an item that can be obtained during the Elemental Workshop II quest from the same crate as the claw schematic.

This is a clue as to the correct solution to the pipe connection puzzle in the junction box. It shows that the middle pipe going to the lever, top-right in the interface of the junction box, provides incoming water that is then directed by the lever down one of the other 2 pipes and on to the press. In combination with how the pipes are plumbed into the back of the junction box, this means that the top-right pipe end in the interface must be connected to the large water supply pipe, top-middle in the interface and that the other 2 pipes coming from the lever, bottom-right and bottom-middle in the interface must be connected to the 2 pipes going to the press, top-left and bottom-left in the interface. Given these constraints, there is only one possible solution.
