Mulch is an item used during the Struggling sapling Forestry event, where players must create the right combination of resource piles to feed the struggling sapling. These resource piles include droppings, green leaves, rotting leaves, splintered bark, and wild mushrooms.

Players can use the mulch's "check" option to see which ingredients are currently used in it. In addition, the "History" option shows players an interface of the struggling sapling's health, as well as the best and most recent combination of mulch discovered during the event. Note that this interface is identical to the "Inspect" option on the struggling sapling.
