Scabarites

Scabarites refer to any of the minions of Scabaras, the scarab-headed Menaphite god of wisdom and isolation. They are fairly strong monsters that can hit rather hard. As they generally share the same dungeon area and have various combat styles, it can be fairly difficult to fight them, even with protection prayers. To receive them as a Slayer assignment, players must have done most of the Contact! quest.

"Minions of Scabaras" are assigned as Slayer tasks only by Nieve and in fairly low numbers (between 30 and 60 when unextended). Scarab swarms are not recommended as they are accurate, hit hard, and are a random spawn chance. However, all scabarites are susceptible to the effects of the keris and keris partisan.

Habitats

• The Sophanem Dungeon, which is featured in the Contact! quest.
• The Ruins of Ullek, which is featured in the Beneath Cursed Sands quest.
• Small scarabs can be found in the Uzer Mastaba, visited during The Curse of Arrav.
