Community Event
Community Events are special, limited-time game modes that operate in dedicated worlds, similarly to Leagues, and allow players to try new types of gameplay. During Community Events, players earn points which can later be spent at shops on regular worlds. Future Community Events will all access the same Events Reward Shop, and all past rewards will be available for purchase after each event.[1]
The idea of Community Events dates back to 2022, when Jagex began considering a "bingo-type minigame" that would repurpose systems developed for Leagues.[2] After Project Zanaris was indefinitely suspended in 2025, the concept evolved into today's Community Events, and development of the first event began.[3]
The term "Community Event" is also often used in newsposts to describe one-time interactions between players and Jagex Moderators,[4][5][6] but these special game modes are a distinct concept.
Grid Master
[edit | edit source]
The first Community Event, Grid Master, was released on 15 October, 2025. Players start with fresh accounts on dedicated worlds and complete tasks presented in a 7x7 bingo grid. Completing each task rewards players with powerful boosts, quest unlocks, and items, similarly to the relics from Leagues. Completing an entire row or column of tasks on the grid unlocks even more powerful rewards.
Tasks also award Grid Points which can be spent at the Events Reward Shop for the following items:
