Damp eggs are found in a crate in the south-west corner of the large ruined temple in the Ruins of Unkah. The crate can be distinguished by it being the only crate in the ruins with a "Search" option. The damp egg cannot be used as a substitute for regular eggs in Cooking.
Using the damp egg on various NPCs results in unique interactions:
If the egg is used on Kiyahtla, he will say, "This evokes such feelings that I thought extinct. What purpose did you think showing me this served? No, I shan't remain silent. What crude humours possessed you such that you even thought to moisten an egg?"
If the egg is used on one of the Spirit Anglers, the player will say, "Would you care for an egg in this difficult time?" This is a reference to the television show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The responses from the Spirit Anglers change depending on who is receiving the damp egg; for example, Koanee will happily add the egg to her collection, while Timallus will lament the egg's desecration by Tempoross.
If the egg is used on Marla, she will scold the player for marring the egg, to which the player will unsuccessfully attempt to convince her the egg was found in such a state.
