- I'll have a pint.
- Player: I'll have a pint.
- Bast: That'll be 4 gold pieces.
- If the player does not have 4 coins:
- Player: I don't have enough coin.
- Bast: I can't just be handing out free beers...
- Player: Couldn't I just take one off those tables?
- Bast: ...I suppose, if that's the kind of person you are.

- If the player does not have enough inventory space:
- Bast: Sorry, you don't seem to have room to hold it.

- Bast: My pub's called The Legless Faun. It's where all the newcomers find themselves after the long voyage from the east. A good drink takes the edge off, y'know? So, fancy a pint?

- Bast: Apparently Veos is looking for some help with something. He hangs around the docks of Port Piscarilius.

- Bast: They say there's trouble in Port Piscarilius. Something about gangs uniting. Might be worth looking into.

- Bast: I hear that Lord Hosidius has misplaced one of his sons. The Hosidius family might pay a lot to see him returned safely.

- Bast: Phileas Rimor has supposedly been looking for some assistance with something in Shayzien. Maybe worth investigating.

- Bast: I hear that the rulers of Lovakengj have some work available. You'll find them in the Lovakengj Assembly.

- Bast: Apparently there's been some commotion in the middle of Arceuus. Might be worth checking out.

- Bast: That protest outside Kourend Castle is starting to attract some attention. Could be worth taking a look.

- Bast: No, it hasn't been very busy lately.

- Player: Could I get something to eat?
- Bast: Sure, we sell stew made at The Golden Field pub for 25 gold pieces.
- Bast: Would you like a bowl?

- Bast: Are you sure you have enough money?
- Player: Oh... You're right, I don't have enough money.
- Bast: That's ok, come back when you have enough money.
