The Survival Expert, whose name is Brynna, is the second NPC players meet in the game. She teaches the basics about the Cooking, Firemaking, Fishing and Woodcutting skills.

Trivia

• The Survival Expert was male in the RuneScape 2 beta, but was changed to female for the full release. This made her the first character in RuneScape 2 to change gender, followed by the Make-over Mage in 2005 and the Oracle in 2007.
• She is sometimes referred to as Survival Guide during the tutorial.
