The Eastern Ocean is one of Gielinor's nine oceans. It is bounded by the Unquiet Ocean to the west, the Kharidian Desert to the west-north-west, Morytania to the north-north-west and the Untamed Ocean to the north.

The Eastern Ocean is divided into fourteen seas. This ocean is hazardous, and the effects are currently not preventable. There are three different hazards present in this ocean:

The desert seas (The Iron Sea, Scabaras' Shallows, Uzer Channel and Sanctuary's End) have the sunbaked seas hazard.
The Cursed Archipelago area has the profane waters hazard.
The remaining areas have an unknown water hazard.

Geography

Islands include the Cursed Archipelago, Dragontooth Island, Harmony Island, Mos Le'Harmless and Roger's Recluse.

The River Salve and Alloviz Estuary flow into the Eastern Ocean.

Though not visible on the world map, the Temple of the Eye is at the bottom of the Eastern Ocean, east of Morytania.
