The Western Gate is a body of water that connects the Crystal Sea to the north with the Shrouded Ocean to the south. It contains the islands of Minotaurs' Rest and Vatrachos Island. To the west lies Fortis Bay and the eastern coast of Varlamore, while directly south lies the island of Deepfin Point. Zul-Egil and the Isle of Souls lie to the east.

Trivia

• In the March 2025 Sailing Alpha, this area of ocean was named "The Everdeep". In the June 2025 Sailing Beta, that name was moved farther south, with this area becoming "Western Gate".
