The Everwinter Sea is the westernmost part of the Northern Ocean, bordering Winter's Edge to the east and Frostgrave Depths to the west, the latter which marks the beginning of the Forgotten Ocean, which is currently inaccessible due to the eternal cold.

It contains fremennik and merchant shipwrecks.

• In the March 2025 Sailing Alpha, this portion of this area near the coast of Kourend was named "Sea of Souls", but it was renamed in the June 2025 Sailing Beta, and the name "Sea of Souls" moved to an area south of the Isle of Souls.
