Unconventional is a grandmaster combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Leviathan using only mithril ammunition whilst having no more than 25 Hitpoints throughout the entire fight.

Strategy

Bring a self-damaging item (such as a locator orb or dwarven rock cake) to quickly bring your health down before starting a fight. Bring yourself down to 30-35 health, then drink a dose of divine ranging or bastion potion to reach the required threshold. The task also effectively requires performing a perfect kill, as getting hit by anything will almost surely result in death.

Due to the low damage output of mithril ammunition, the player should expect a longer-than-average kill at the boss. Possible options include using the toxic blowpipe with mithril darts, zaryte crossbow alongside enchanted emerald bolts, a twisted bow with mithril arrows; despite the Leviathan's less-than-optimal Magic level of 160, the latter option with best-in-slot Ranged gear and Rigour has a max hit of 49. A magic shortbow (i) can be used for its special attack inside the abyssal pathfinder. Thralls can be used for this task.

NOTE: Rosewood, ironwood, and camphor blowpipes with mithril darts currently cause the player to fail the combat achievement upon use, despite being mithril ammunition.

Depending on the player's luck with damage output, the boss may need to be stunned multiple times due to the low damage output from mithril ammunition, meaning the player may have to handle numerous special attacks during the fight. The duration of the fight will also result in the player being dealt unavoidable damage many times by the roar at the end of each attack sequence. Using Guthix rests, which heal for five hitpoints, allow the player to heal the roar damage without reducing their damage output or increasing their health above 25.

During the brief period between the roar attack and the next volley of attacks, try to restore prayer, heal with Guthix rests, and flick Rapid Heal to deter natural health regeneration that can potentially heal you above 25 hitpoints.
