Due to their high price and low amount healed, they are rarely used as conventional food. Due to being stackable, they are often used for activities with constant tick eating and to restore run energy instead of stamina potions to save inventory space.
Purple sweets are sometimes used by low-level players aiming to get a Fire cape from defeating TzTok-Jad, since a large stack can serve as an effectively infinite source of healing. They are also often used by players attempting endurance record at bosses.

When eaten, the message You eat the sweets. The sugary goodness heals some energy. is displayed.
It should be noted that players cannot eat purple sweets in the Inferno; attempting to do so results in the message: "The heat of the inferno causes the wrapper to stick to the sweet. You cannot see anywaysic to open it.". The sweets will not be destroyed when attempting this.

 • Since purple sweets can stack, they heal more Hitpoints per inventory slot than any other item, limited only by the amount of purple sweets the player has and the 2,147,483,647 limit of items that a stack can contain. 2,147,483,647 purple sweets means you can heal up to 6,442,450,941 Hitpoints. It would also require 12,592,844,106,008 coins to purchase the maximum stack of sweets (not accounting for market limitations).
